Many Realtors, Affiliates and Friends got together and had a very fun night raising money for local charities. We raised over $13,000.00 to be given to charities. A special thank you to all the following: Everyone who came that night to support your association All the Brokers, Affiliates and Realtors who donated to the Auction All the committee members for their help Ellen Caputo, Mona Simmons and Karen Fuller for their extra effort Lee Hostetter and Family for their time and expertise John Fencil of American General for his generous donation Rich and Anthony Neff of Pa Land Titles for their generous donation Everyone who helped transport and set up on Wednesday Prudential Realty for the use of their copy machines Everyone who donated to the bake sale Clearview Federal Credit Union for their Thanksgiving Basket If I forgot to Thank You, Thank You Everyone who donated to the Auction will have their name printed in the Beaver County times. A list will also be given to all the charities of who donated to the auction. We are entering into the holiday season and I hope everyone will be able to spend time with their families for Thanksgiving. It is a time to give thanks for what we have. We all need to remember the families that were affected by hurricane Sandy and the many soldiers who will not be at home because they are defending our freedom. God Bless, Vic

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

THE REALTOR REPORT

The Beaver County Association of REALTORS® had another

successful Charity auction last Wednesday evening. Many Realtors,

Affiliates and Friends got together and had a very fun night raising

money for local charities. We raised over $13,000.00 to be given to

charities. A special thank you to all the following:

Everyone who came that night to support your association

All the Brokers, Affiliates and Realtors who donated to the

Auction

All the committee members for their help Ellen Caputo, Mona

Simmons and Karen Fuller for their extra effort

Lee Hostetter and Family for their time and expertise

John Fencil of American General for his generous donation

Rich and Anthony Neff of Pa Land Titles for their generous

donation

Quadrennial Code of Ethics Online Course

The Quadrennial Code of Ethics Training is due by December 31, 2012. You can take the course online

at www.realtor.com. Hover your mouse over education and click on Code of Ethics Training. Then

click on existing REALTOR code of ethics training and then click take the online course.

The association will automatically be notified that you took the course online. This notification is

used to update our information here and know who has and has not taken the course. If you are not

sure if you need to take this class, call the association office at 724-774-4126.

BE AWARE

Channel 2 News reported that during an open house these homes are being hit for the prescription drugs that are in the medicine cabinets. Please be sure to tell your sellers to put away valuables and prescription drugs.

ANNUAL PRODUCTION AWARDS

A. General Guidelines

i. Nominee must be a BCAR Primary or Secondary member to qualify for award.

ii. Production verification on a sales volume sheet—MLS RES BOOK SOLD, MUST accompany

excel spreadsheet to be counted.

iii. FSBO’s and Transactional deals MUST have page 1 & 2 of sales contract PLUS HUD1 to be

counted

iv. No out of state referrals will be counted unless agent holds active license in that state.

v. 3-5 person task force formed from various offices will verify production for awards

determinations.

vi. All awards of all categories will be audited.

vii. Award certificates will be produced by the Association.

viii. Award winners will be recognized at an annual awards banquet.

REALTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD per Policy and Procedures Section X11

PURPOSE: To recognize the REALTOR member of the Association who has provided outstanding service to the Association, real estate profession and to the community? This is not a listing or sales award, but an award for the REALTOR who best exemplifies on a business and personal level the qualities that make a REALTOR.

SOME CRITERIA TO CONSIDER: REALTOR SPIRIT: faithfulness to the principles of organized real estate, laws and regulations of their

Association, the Code of Ethics and time and effort expended in furthering principles of good real estate practice among other real estate practitioners, press and the general public.

ASSOCIATION ACTIVITY (LOCAL): Activity in the local association, offices held, committee work,

special assignments meeting attendance and active participation in association events.

BUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS: General reputation for professional competence, public recogni-tion of business conduct, service to clients and customers.

COMMUNITY SERVICE/CIVIC ACTIVITY: Local, State and National level participation in civic

and Service Clubs, charitable activities, political activity, fraternal or religious groups. IDEALLY THIS IS YOUR REALTOR OF THE YEAR: SOMEONE YOU WOULD BE

PROUD TO PUT BEFORE YOUR PEERS AND THE PUBLIC.
