The Columbus Young Professionals Club, or CYP Club, is a “for impact” membership organization that combines a networking group, a social club, a volunteer network, and an athletic league coordinator.

With more than 25,000 registered members who live and work in the Columbus region, we are recognized as the nation’s largest YP membership organization.

A “Young Professional” is defined as a career-minded, community-focused adult over the age of 21, generally in their 20s or 30s, including Millennials and Gen Xers.

Our mission is to offer connections, access, and value for our members through professional and fun events, quality athletics, and community impact.

Each year we host nearly 150 exciting events for our members – in addition to organizing 30 recreational sports leagues and coordinating dozens of volunteer efforts – bringing together thousands of area young professionals and graduate students.

Some of our events welcome a handful of guests, while our larger events attract thousands of attendees.

ABOUT US Founded in 2005, the CYP Club has created positive event experiences and community impact for tens of thousands of people in Central Ohio.

OUR PROGRAMS > EVENTS

With thousands of active members – and with all of the amazing opportunities around Columbus – we host a ton of events and activities for young professionals! And our annual sponsors help support it all, including:

8-10 EVENTS PER MONTH Every month we host a variety of regular events for members, such as our Member Mixer, Meet-and-Greet Group Dinner, Coffee Talk Networking, Lunch & Learn, and YP Networking Night, in addition to coordinating behind-the-scenes tours, spirits tastings, pub crawls, and group travel. We also offer weekly volunteer activities.

A DATE 2 REMEMBERAnnual themed live auction social fundraiser. The event offers an unforgettable evening out – from the Taste of Columbus cocktail hour, to our one-of-a-kind Live Auction featuring On-Stage Participants and Hollywood-themed performances – all to raise lots of money for charity!

COLUMBUS YP WEEKA full week of events and volunteer activities geared toward young professionals, providing valuable networking access and leadership development for thousands of participants.

THE EXECUTIVE DINNERA professionally focused multi-course dinner party facilitating an exchange of success stories by some of Columbus' top CEOs and executives with the next breed of leaders – our YP members.

YEAR-END CELEBRATIONOur annual holiday party for members, sponsors, and friends with a cocktail hour, live music, and award presentations that welcomes nearly 500 attendees.

OUR PROGRAMS > INITIATIVES

While we are mostly known for events, we also lead a variety of charitable initiatives, we publish a magazine, we offer awards programs, and we organize recreational athletic leagues too! Sponsorship also supports:

CYP CLUB CARESA service board of 30 young professionals who lead and coordinate hundreds of fellow CYP Club volunteers throughout the year, resulting in more than 10,000 hours of community service throughout Columbus.

ATHLETIC LEAGUESWe organize dozens of co-recreational leagues across the city for thousands of young professionals who want to play competitive and fun sports.

COLUMBUS INSPIRESOur sister charity - a launch pad for great ideas focused on leadership, mentoring, and philanthropy – is focused on the development of the next generation of great leaders.

CITYPULSE MAGAZINECityPulse is the official Young Professional’s Guide to Columbus, with 15,000 print copies, and a weekly digital guide focused on where to live, where to work, and where to give in Columbus.

WONDERFUL WORKPLACES FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALSEvery year we recognize the Top 40 local employers (nominated by YPs) as the best for Columbus YPs.

52 YOUNG PROS TO KNOWOnce a year we compile a list of 52 Columbus connectors, as YPs to Know – one for each week.

YOUNG-AT-HEART AWARDSWe also recognize community leaders who have gone above and beyond to offer guidance, support, and expertise to YPs.

OUR PROGRAMS > EXPANSION

SUCCESSFUL EXPANSIONSWe have also acquired and launched several efforts within and outside of Ohio, including two additional Young Professional organizations –applying our successful model and leadership structure – for success.

THE GRANDVIEW HOPIn 2015, we acquired the Grandview Hop, a street market featuring live music, local artists, food trucks, and Ohio goods, and increased its presence and attendance from 500 attendees to 7000+ throughout the summer months. (Top left photo)

TRI-VILLAGE RESTAURANT WEEKIn November 2016, we collaborated with the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership to present the inaugural Tri-Village Restaurant Week - a full week of dining featuring the best restaurants in the area with special menus for lunch and dinner.

OHIO YOUNG PROFESSIONALSWe created the Ohio Young Professionals Network in 2009 as a way to connect like-minded leaders across the Buckeye State. Once a year we host the Ohio YP Summit.

MUSIC CITY YOUNG PROFESSIONALSIn October 2016, we launched our first YP membership organization outside of Ohio in Nashville, TN.

MILWAUKEE YOUNG PROFESSIONALSIn 2017, we will launch our second YP membership organization outside of Ohio in Milwaukee, WI.

CHAMBER PARTNERSHIPSWe have strategic partnerships with a handful of local Chambers of Commerce, including Gahanna, Hilliard, and Tri-Village to facilitate expanded YP programming.

The CYP Club is also constantly growing its membership numbers and expanding its impact efforts all the time!
