It was a season like no other as we went through, what many would say, was the toughest year in education and educational athletics in the past decade. With that said, it was still a great year filled with championships, records and positive memories. It’s easy to say though, this will be a year that we will NEVER forget, and its success is attributed to all our supporters and staff who helped us get through it. Throughout the year our community has given us positive feedback, constructive criticism and most importantly the trust and confidence that we will do our best to be the best! It was that positive feedback and support that continued to drive us throughout the year in everything that we did… so thank you! Knowing that the year has officially come to an end, and our seasons are closed out… with the fall season schedules being finalized, I am very excited for the future and the adventures it will bring along the way. From our Week 1 football game at The Big House, Michigan Stadium, to face off against a tough Clarkston team, (the football team will have one of the toughest schedules it has seen in a while) to many of our teams defending championships throughout the year! We have hopes of more record setting memorable seasons in 2021-2022 and I know our Davison athletic family will be proud and excited to be Davison Made. That phrase “Davison Made,” continues to be something special to us and our community. If you are DavisonMade… then you know that! Have a great summer and we will see you in the fall, ready to go. Summer Work

2021-2022 Fall Season Notes

New Dates from the MHSAA:

The upcoming MHSAA Fall Season start dates have been changed to allow ALL High School sports

teams to begin first practices/ tryouts on August 9th. Specific information will be sent out at the end of

July.

Summer Dead Period:

MHSAA/ Davison Schools “Dead Period” will be July 4th – July 10th.

Summer School and Credit Recovery:

The final date to register for summer school is June 23rd and spots are filling up quickly. If you believe

that your high school son/daughter will be in jeopardy of being ineligible for the fall season please

contact the guidance office.

There will be some construction taking place at DC Athletic facilities over the summer, mainly at Cardinal

Stadium and the High School Gym.

The Cardinal Stadium will continue to be under construction as they work to finish the track and field

event areas. This construction should be completed by the middle to end of July. The new turf looks

amazing and new bathrooms at the north end were much needed. We can’t wait to see complete stadium

upgrades once the track and new field event areas are completed!! The high school gym is getting some

TLC with new bleachers and some paint work. It will be closed from June 18th through the month of July.

The weight room will still be opened.

As always we are so very thankful to our Davison Schools central office administrators and Board of

Education members who truly put kids first and work to do the best they can to make sure they are getting

what they need for a bright future!
