FAITH FORMATION VIRTUAL PROGRAM

Registrations for the year 2020-21 will close on January 30, 2021. If you haven’t done so and wish to register your child, please do so this month. Holy Ghost Baby Shower for the Unborn Our Annual Baby Shower will be held on 16th & 17th of January. We will have a different procedure this year because of the Corvid 19 Virus. I will be standing at the door on the parking lot side of Holy Ghost to collect your gifts for the unborn at each Mass. There will be a basket also for donations if you prefer. Please make checks to Fund for the Unborn. Thank you for all you can do this year, the needs for the Pregnancy Help Office is greater because so many are out of work because of the virus. As always I wish to thank you in advance because I know of your generosity. The unborn babies are very fortunate each year for your charity on their behalf. May God Bless you, Lynn Kenn

FROM THE PASTORS DESK

Happy feast of the Baptism of Jesus This Sunday we celebrate Jesus Baptism at the hands of John the Baptist. ‘This is my beloved son’ we are all beloved by God through the Sacrament of Baptism and invited to share in His Mission of Holiness in the World. This New Year holds promise. The Covid 19 vaccine is beginning to be administered and people once again have hope being restored. A great way to acknowledge our Baptism is gratitude towards God. Maybe we can all say a prayer of thanks this week and be thankful to those responsible for our Baptism, out Parents, Godparents and the Church. While this new year holds promise, we are still living with the spread of Covid 19 and the precautions put in place by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Archdiocese of Boston. Since reopening for worship since last June we have been following the guidelines and will continue to as long as I am Pastor here because they are working. Both parishes are having services (many Two parish collaboratives have only been able to open one Church and some churches may not be reopening) I am grateful to Safety Committee of the Parish for making sure we are accountable so when the calls from the State Contract Tracing Department we have all the information we need. Since reopening many have expressed reservations about whether the Archdiocese has to follow the Guidelines issued by the State, actually it’s the Archdiocese that reissues these guidelines to each Church.
