6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now

restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume

with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-41 Now, brethren, concerning the coming

of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either

by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from

us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means;

for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of

sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped,

so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Daniel 7:25"He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into

his hand For a time and times and half a time."

1 John 4:1-61 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone

out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you

is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world

hears them.

6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not

hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Revelation 12:7-107 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place

found for them in heaven any longer.

9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan,

who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice

"Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now

restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

(1) government and law, which help to curb evil;

(2) the ministry and activity of the church and the effects of

the Good News;

(3) the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 5:13-1613 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be

seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 You are the light of the world.

A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your

good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

Romans 1:16-1716 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of

written, "The just shall live by faith."

on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and

clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp

sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them

with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of

Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF

KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Isaiah 11:4 “He will rule against the wicked and destroy them with the breath of his

mouth.”

Jude 14-2514 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam,

prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten

thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are

ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things

which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.“ 16 These are grumblers, complainers,

walking according to their

own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told

you that there would be mockers in the last

time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith,

praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep

yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto

eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of

the fire, hating even the garment defiled by

the flesh. 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and

majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
