The indigenously developed supersonic interceptor missile is capable of destroying any incoming enemy ballistic missile at low altitude. The interceptor was engaged against a target which was a Prithvi missile launched at about 09:44 hrs hours from launch complex III of the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Balasore taking up the trajectory of a hostile ballistic missile. Port Blair, Dec.28 The Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Smti Baby Fareeda along with Shri Yashvi Parekh, Executive Engineer, ZP, SA during their visit to Little Andaman recently inspected the R.O Plant installed at Hut Bay. Shri Vasudevan Nair, Zilla Parishad Member was also present during the visit. She found that the RO Plant is not working properly due to non- functioning of motor. Olympic silver medallist P V Sindhu is eyeing

the world no 1 position next season but said

she will not lose her sleep over rankings as

consistent performances will automatically

earn her the numero uno spot. Sindhu had

achieved a career-best ranking of world no

2 for about two months in the later half of the

season. "I want to see myself as world no 1

in the upcoming season. I am at 3 now and

it depends on tournaments, if you play well,

you will automatically get the ranking. So I am not thinking much about the rankings. I just have to

play well and I know I will automatically be there," said Sindhu, who guided Chennai Smashers to

a 4-3 win over Mumbai Rockets in PBL on Wednesday. The 22-year-old clinched titles at Syed

Modi GPG, India Open, Korea Open, besides finishing second at World championship, Hong

Kong Open and Dubai Super Series Finals this season. Sindhu feels the duration of matches in

women's singles have increased after her epic World Championship final against Nozomi Okuhara.

The programme would benefit the local

fishers / tribes having non- motorized

crafts to acquire inboard /outboard

engines and also procure various fishing

gear which would help them to undertake

longer duration of fishing. There are 1341

nos. of non-motorized crafts presently

operational in the Islands. The scheme

of Govt. of India would benefit the Island

fishers to motorize their crafts leading

to increase in marine fish production and

income of the fishers, a communication
