Brother Knights, Mother Seton Council No. 6922 have just completed one of the biggest Calendar of Events of the year; “The Parish Festival” as Knights of Columbus we support fund raising for St. Paul. In this event all Parishioners and Ministries of St. Paul step up and come together as one family generating revenue for St. Paul Church. The Parishioners donate their time, Labor and Food for the Festival, while the Knights of Columbus from this Parish provide Labor, Materials and Manpower and Transportation. The Chairman of the Festival was over whelm in planning, preparing,

organizing and coordinating; Vendors who are responsible for their booth commence decorating Saturday morning and on Saturday night the day before the Festival; Dinner and entertainment was held in the hall, Spanish food was catered from a Mexican Restaurant. On Sunday Morning, vendors who have an assigned booth started preparing for the opening day of the Festival. There were lots of Activities, Entertainments, Raffles Prizes, Foods and Drinks. There is different Ethnic Dish, which were all cook on site near the Parish Religious Education Center. The knights of Columbus have the Beer Booth with Tri- Tip Sandwich and Chips; Sunday was a sad day for our Council 6922, because the chairman, Brother James Solari who spend time planning the menu and how to introduce his menu, was in a car accident with his wife Elizabeth. As the Grand Knight, I received the phone call from Brother James Solari’s stepfather Brother Ed Anderson, that Brother James and the Wife were in a terrible car crash and someone has to pick-up the Tri-Tip. So brothers, I pick-up the phone and call the co-chair, Brother Harold Seyvertsen and told him the problem, then I call Brother Richard Curatolo if he could step up and help cook the Tri-Tip, but Brother James was going to cook the Tri-Tip in a BBQ-Barrel (Smoker). Without the smoker to Cook the meat and without the Condiments, which were in the car crash; I had to regroup, since there was no BBQ Grill provided for the Knights, so I call Brother Tony Basquez to help me bring the BBQ Grill from my house and set-up next to Knights Booth; St. Paul Chairman provided the Condiments. I am grateful for all the Brother Knights who step up Sunday morning and and help organize and prepare the Knights Booth and follow through for Brother James efforts to support the Festival. After the “Festival” the tear down, put away and clean up. The upcoming next event will be the Parish Luau and this is also a fund Raising for St. Paul. Again the Knights of Columbus will be providing time and labor. Brother Knights there are two other events, before the Parish Luau, the Fellowship Donuts, which we rely on donations to continue our commitment for Saint Paul Youth Ministry (SPYM); the other event is the family Picnic held at Elk Grove Park. This event is when all Brother Knights and their Families get together for at least five hours, to relax, have fun and chill out. “Fellow Brother Knights if you miss attending this event for Health reasons, or transportation and you need assistance from the Council, please do not hesitate to call, we are here to help you and your family.” Sincerely:Grand Knight Dave Santos

Fellow Brother Knights,

I would like to thank everyone who attended the Annual Family Picnic held at Elk Grove Park on Sunday, September 27th. We had a showing of approximately 40 Brother Knights and their wives along with 19 or so children who enjoyed playing many games hosted by Brother Ron Eck and his wife Michelle. Special thanks to Brother Ray Onieza, the Chairman, who helped me in purchasing the food items and in grilling duties.

Thank you Brother Ron Eck and Michelle who kept the children busy with many games that were played, PGK Phil Deleon for securing the site, Deputy Grand Knight Grover Sandy for towing the Knight's trailer, and Grand Knight David Santos for all of his assistance. This annual event takes many hands to enjoy a good time had by all. We hope to see everyone again at next year's event! Brother Knight Brent Baginski Family Director
