Tick
To improve the nutritional profile of the food supply in a direction that is consistent with nutrition policies
and recommendations for the general population from the Heart Foundation and the Government.
~ Basically making the foods Australians eat most often healthier
This will be achieved by:– Influencing food companies and outlets to manufacture and
market foods that meet high nutrition standards;– Encouraging consumers to purchase these healthier foods;
and– Influencing food policy and legislation.

What does the Tick mean?
• It’s a healthier choice compared to similar foods.
Eg: Bread with the Tick is a healthier choice of bread
• It has been independently tested to ensure it meets the Program’s strict nutrition and labelling standards. (And for Tick eating out, there are process standards too)
