The FCCLA Dress Code was created in an effort to uphold the professional image of the organization, and also prepare students for proper attire
worn in the business world.
Do wear black pumps/heels or flats
that are no higher than 2 inches
Do NOT wear heels higher than 2 inches, or heels that have inappropriate designs.
Do NOT wear sandals.
DO NOT wear short, tight fitting
skirts or khaki pants.
DO wear black skirts that are at the knee or longer, or black
slacks hemmed appropriately.
Do NOT wear low cut blouses or blouses that
aren’t “business professional.”
DO wear oxford-style long-sleeved/short-sleeved fully buttoned tops or collared
shirts.Shirts may be red, black, or
white in color.
Female Dress Code• Long sleeve or short sleeve oxford-style
shirts, either white, red or black.• Short sleeved collared shirts, either white,
red or black.• Black skirts no shorter than 1-inch above
the knee cap or black dress slacks hemmed appropriately.
• Black pumps, heels no higher than 2 inches, or black flats.
• Ties are optional and must be professional• FCCLA Blazers are encouraged, but not
required.

DO NOT wear tennis shoes, vans,
etc.
Male Dress Code• Long sleeve or short sleeve
button-up collared shirt, must be either white, black, or red.
• Short sleeve, collared polo shirts, must be either white, black, or red.
• Black dress slacks worn at the waist.
• Black dress shoes.• Ties and suits are optional,
must be either gray, navy blue, or black.
• FCCLA Official Blazers are encouraged, but not required.
Examples of Appropriate Dress
Inappropriate Attire for Both Males and Females
• Jewelry in visible body piercing, other than ears
• Denim or chambray fabric clothing of any kind, overalls, shorts, skorts, stretch or stirrup pants, exercise or bike shorts
• Backless, see-through, tight-fitting, spaghetti straps, strapless, extremely short, or low-cut blouses/tops/dresses/skirts
• T-shirts, Lycra™, spandex, midriff tops, tank tops, bathing suits
Inappropriate Attire for Both Males and Females
• Sandals, athletic shoes, industrial work shoes, hiking boots, bare feet, or over the knee boots.
• Hats or flannel fabric clothing
• Visible foundation garments
• Bolo ties
Conference Casual Attire• FCCLA T-Shirt/Polo
and Jeans• FCCLA T-Shirt/Polo
and Khakis • Any other clothing, as
long as it is school appropriate!
