One more day till payday, one more this, or I wish I had that. The world is filled with people and their ideas regarding points of views on why they are justified to have or want something. Sure we all want to get our paychecks early… should have gotten direct deposit. Do I really need or want ten new pairs of the latest sneaker some unnamable basketball great that played in Chicago is coming out with? Most people already will have a point of view thought out that would justify the reason why they needed to obtain those ten pairs of sneakers. Myself on the other hand am unable to participate in a bridge financing scheme to keep his current and ailing franchise in Charlotte afloat, don’t get me wrong that could be anyone’s view. Everyone one of us as individuals are made up of several points of view. Sometimes explaining a point of view is best done when I explain it through the lens of the sports world. Others would call this some type of macho way of voicing reasoning, because everyone admires sports people… or so they say. I just like explaining things via conduits that usually involve competitive forces. Giving a little color to a point of view also creates the effect that the point of view is more acceptable to the general public.

Point of View

By: Garland L. McLaughlin (The Consultingguy)

Just the other day multiple ideas surrounding the topic of point of view came across my mind. It hit me like a baseball great hitting another home run with his classic patented swing. Of course there is more to understanding and relating to different points of view than what a sports analyst can point out. Points of view come in many forms, some rational, some disturbing, and some require testing in order to prove that they are notable. Leaving out the issue whether or not a point of view is right or wrong creates an opening for one to generate freely creative and well thought out points of view which mentally seem to work in the real world. In fact most valid points of view work in the real world everyday.

In many cases people use examples of legends, family stories, fables, etc. to define the reasoning behind their point of view. Everyone knows the childhood stories of the 3 little pigs and others, story that are suppose to set tones within our children and have them believing that pigs built houses until they are 10 years old. With a little embellishment and carefully crafted descriptions of key points of reference people can turn something which looks to be small into a legendary basis for a point of view. All of this passionate story telling and personal political agenda pushing is most believable when the point of view feeds an audience as a believable point of view. It would be a complete waste of time trying to convince an audience to believe in a point of view that cannot and has not been proven to work in the real world, thus making it easier to stretch the truth with recognized points of view. From time to time we all get caught up with following the crowd just a little bit when it seems that a new, interesting, and insightful point of view is the new word on the street. What we often fail to realize is that there is nothing new under the sun. The package is all dressed up to relate to people within certain time periods. Ideas come and go, but basic points of view on how those ideas should be used in the real world stay the same

Page 15: The Digital Conglomerate Magazine Inc. - June 2012 Issue

In discussions of late I always tend to hear it everywhere…“These new kids don’t know what they are doing out here today” or some new school era type will say, “These old guys out here need to take a seat in their wheelchairs”. Both phrases that help shape their points of view get straight to the point and will let people know that both issues are debatable. Both phrases hold multiple attributes to form different reasoning which lead to why the point of view is looked at the way that it is. On top of this multiple individuals also have multiple routes of reasoning that are the basis point for believing in a particular point of view.

Finding a great point of view to shape a public relations campaign… to most seems difficult enough, but what if you have to change the audiences’ attitude? Understanding the mind frame of the audience and delivering a powerful presentation that conveys feeling and emotion… to most is easier said than done. Changing old habits doesn’t come easy when its time for a business to get out their rebrand their image and gain new customers. Pieces of organized thought and direction fused together and form a point of view that can withstand any potential backlash.

As a pragmatic public relations and marketing professional it is only natural for me to be able to analyze a situation and come up with an innovative solution that gets the attention that it deserves. Selecting the correct point of view is the first step and tends to take a little longer time putting together than just the extra fluff that is needed to excite the audience. In the world of politics, business, marketing, and life points of view come easy and it’s sometimes hard for mere mortals to decipher what is the truth and what are the lies that help shape a particular point of view. Complex layers of reasoning are carefully arranged fashioned to drive home the message that a particular point of view isn’t just a one ride pony sort of show.

In my profession the proof is in the sauce where it counts. Tasteful, creative, innovative are just a quick starts in the right direction when I’m thinking of tailoring a defined point of view, with my own spin of course. If a project is not panning out the way that it was intended to one must choose an alternate route, in my point of view. Yes… don’t you wish it was all so simple! Switching this or changing that to form this or that point of view from the woman or man next door’s perspective. This sounds like the only solid pieces of the puzzle come directly from the point of view.

The Pieces To Building The Unconventional Home…

By Garland L McLaughlin (Consultingguy)

Page 18: The Digital Conglomerate Magazine Inc. - June 2012 Issue

Most finance specialists would like consumers to think that they are better off using the mortgage payment program rather than using liquid assets to complete a real estate transaction. Of course this is to say most people are not liquid for more than ten or twenty thousand dollars, well this article is not for most people. In a lot of cases people with million dollar homes that claim they are worth or equal to the amount of equity in their homes are still paying a mortgage? Now of course I can’t give away the whole secret, but of cash is king then why not use it… and the answer is sometimes they do. Another question can be raised about home construction… are these elitists even building the right type of structures that are self sufficient and practical, affluent, and innovative? Of course, paying enormously to slap fixings over a conventional and outdated building solution will drain the trust fund in no time, so the answer would be no.

Picking out a cheap location where land is abundant and taxes are low is the least of any home builders concerns, because the land is out there.

For the amount of money that is

going to be spent on a custom made home it should be obvious that our clients want the best containers,

best recycled materials, the best of everything that screams green. How often do

people that are building their home every

remind developers to be conscious of

these little significant

pleasantries? Probably almost never and the

developers won’t bother to mention

that even if the windows are

energy saver this and the

appliances are energy saver that… it won’t matter. The conventional

structure ultimately is

flawed and energy as well as a

source of self sufficient living will be lost in one form

or another.

Yes designers are hard to come by

now a days, especially

designers that aren’t burned out and all that they care about is an

easy buck. That is why at Exquisite

Design Co clients are not sold a

blueprint package and told that they hope they have

great success on completing their project. After all

who likes to be left in the dark when they are sold a

solution and still they have steps

remaining in order to apply the solution as a

completed project. This is why our

concept of “Grunge Luxury” through our

designing firm at Exquisite Design

Co is proving to be a the answer to

creating sustainable, long term affordable, and ecological solutions for

modern and futurist home building.

Even though the homes that we

design are made primarily from

recycled and used materials the

building process is practically overnight. After the simulation

customization, blueprint, and 3d

modeling phase of the building process our home designs

are ready to be built. It is almost a shock to myself to know that after all the

approvals and green lights that the actual building process will only take 3-4 weeks.

Sometimes there are certain

circumstances that may hinder the

building process and stall the unfolding of

a magnificent creation for a couple

weeks longer, but nothing like traditional or

conventional home building. I personally

do not have more that 2 months to wait for some developer

to take their time building my home.

Page 19: The Digital Conglomerate Magazine Inc. - June 2012 Issue

When a home take so long to build and you know your going to be paying for it over the next 30 years more or less it better have some good space age technology built in. Of course with a customized container home that is adaptable to simulate greenhouse environments our clients won’t be paying for it over the next 30 years. Many features will be added on later due to the home owners having different types of tastes and fancies. Being able to say that you’re a client of Exquisite Design Co and that, “They customized the underground car garage for us that lifts up out of the ground to ground level…” won’t be a fictional spy thriller type of story that you’re laying on someone.

Gadgets included… no problem I will brake it all down to you I a second and explain the cost and price structure. Nothing is wrong with walking away from the table while you still have a chance. Like I said earlier these homes are designed for a “Grunge Luxury” lifestyle. Across the board it is new a economical way of living with built in set it and forget it reactions. In simple terms our clients pay a deposit to get things started then they make the final payment before construction and all the chips are in play. Any extra costs related to customized interior or exterior design is taken care of after the construction is completed. The bottom line is that our clients must have a verifiable net worth of five million dollars or more and they must be liquid for one million dollars in order to initiate going to contract and starting a project. At contract signing clients are required to make a deposit of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars cash payment.

Creating a greener living that responsibly takes advantage of technology is quite expensive in the short run, but in the long run it is more efficient and eventually widely accepted. Using a credit score to determine if people can obtain homes is wrong and the elite don’t do it so why would you. Yes… we can design homes of 2,3, or 4 forty foot containers for less than twenty five thousand dollars cash, we welcome your business, but the land is not included. There is plenty of opportunity and taking advantage customized care for your living space should be a primary concern.

Entertainment Review: Ashley Dixon By Garland L McLaughlin

Texas sure has a lot to offer and there are a lot of entertaining people that have admirable qualities that go along with their craft. Ashley Dixon is one of those admirable people that is setting an example in the San Antonio, Texas area. Modeling and showcasing her queen diva personality through out the area has gained her the reputation of a star on the rise.

It was quite a surprise to find out that this classy southern African American woman has aspirations of becoming a country music star. After hearing her song “Don’t Call Me Baby” I couldn’t see any reason why this would not be at all possible. The country music genre isn’t unfamiliar territory to African Americans, after all her music is suppose to reach everybody.

Ashley Dixon not only sings and models, she is an example of youthful leadership within the community, throughout the south, and where ever her cause takes her. Her non-profit organization WHO I AM goals are “designed to allow All youth the privilege of knowing who they are as individuals. W.I.A. encourages youth to see themselves for who they are, not for who they feel that they need to be. W.I.A. encourages students to accept themselves and others regardless as to race, color, size, national origin, sex, disability, or religion.”

Alice Cooper Welcomes Ryan Roxie BackAlice Cooper Welcomes Ryan Roxie Back Into Band For 2012

"No More Mr Nice Guy" Tour

Alice Cooper has announced his band line-up for his 2012 "No More Mr Nice Guy" tour, with guitarist Ryan Roxie back with the band after several years absence.

Ryan joins an extraordinary team. Longtime Alice bassist Chuck Garric, jaw-dropping drummer Glen Sobel and guitarists Tommy Henriksen and Orianthi make up one of the most exciting rock and roll bands in the world today. "It's great to bring Ryan back into the fold," says Alice, "This band just destroys on stage, and with Ryan back on board, he will only kick things into a higher gear. Ryan Roxie is a fan favorite. He plays like a tornado, and we can't wait to turn him loose and let him tear into this tour."

Tour highlights include Alice's first-ever appearance at Bonnaroo June 9 and a month long North American tour with Iron Maiden June 21-July 21, plus several Alice headline shows along the way. The tour then moves to Europe July 27 through August 12.

Ryan Roxie first joined Alice's band in 1996 and toured, wrote and recorded with him for much of the next ten years, including the albums "Fistful of Alice," "The Eyes of Alice Cooper," and "Dirty Diamonds," along with the live DVD's "Brutally Live" and "Live at Montreux."

In addition to also working with Slash in Slash's Snakepit, Ryan has recorded and released several albums by his own bands, including DPM, Roxie 77 and Casablanca. After relocating to Stockholm several years ago, he has also hosted local radio and TV shows as well as continuing to perform live and record. With bassist Garric marking his tenth year with Alice, Sobel, Henriksen and Orianthi are returning for their second year.

Additional shows are being announced weekly to Alice's summer 2012 tour schedule, which is online at alicecooper.com.

Subject: Outsourcing It All…

- Garland L McLaughlin

Many states are still working their way through financial turmoil that has stalled the job and home sales sectors. The key element that is being stressed in the media is the expansion and jobs creation programs. Well I can see the joke in all of this, lies with numbers, lies with stimulus programs and incentives. If anyone is still wondering where have all the jobs gone they need not look any further than the Lone Star state.

Not to say that jobs creation isn’t great, but it is awful when useless jobs are expanded and a false demand is created to fill the void. Sure our society is creating useful jobs within the healthcare industry, but other consumer based jobs are not really in demand at all. With the never ending impulse of automation penetrating our society services based jobs continue to dwindle, it is quite strange that in Texas there are more of these jobs. That’s not the only problem, these jobs pay at the rate of the cost for a six pack of beer per hour and expect you to quit if things don’t work out. Sure it is a little slow and the word “lawyer” involved in any response to a complaint or dissatisfaction usually gets people to focus real fast, but underneath it all is a system that settles for inefficiency.

Don’t get me wrong Texas is a beautiful, laid back, friendly, and cost efficient state. I just have an issue with the enormous amount of fast food outlets. It seems as if the big commercial restaurant chains are in a war with Mexican family owned restaurants to see which business will get the most repeat customers. Oh and by the way they employees that run the business and make this war for customers possible only get $7.25 an hour.

I can easily recall at my last job in high school I made $7.50 an hour and that was 15 years ago. Why is the economy in the southern most state of the United States more than 15 years behind? Why have the people here settled into a state of delusion that prides itself on ignorance?

Page 31: The Digital Conglomerate Magazine Inc. - June 2012 Issue

- L. Simone Hart

Do people really have to put so much emphasis on lower paying jobs, treating them as if that is the best they will ever have? Sure we all have to provide for ourselves and families so most times we jump on whatever employment we can get at the time. More often than not employees are taunted with the promise of “advancement” and “promotions” only to find they have to break their backs, be treated unfairly and told not to take breaks. It’s great to be part of a team working for a common good or goal but at what cost? The cost of being humiliated by a boss or “pretend” bosses who twist company policy to get you to do whatever they want with no questions asked.

It really is a shame when intelligent people get the boot because they want to be treated properly on the job and be taught to believe in what they are doing on a daily basis. Not just collect a paycheck but really making a difference in peoples everyday lives. I say it’s time for these larger corporations to stop looking at their employees as just numbers and cheap labor but rather as individuals who can rise to any challenge presented to them. With the correct leadership anything is possible, real managers and leaders see the best in their staff not focusing on the worst but improving upon imperfections to the best of their abilities.

Dwayne Delves is Body By ChosenBy Galand L McLaughlin

As a moderately active fitness buff I was interested in finding out what kind of routines are some people using to stay in shape. Soon after doing a little investigating Digital Conglomerate Magazine Inc. President introduced me to a super hero like individual that is make noise in the fitness world. Body By Chosen aka Dwayne Delves has a routine that turns heads and get everyone to pay attention. With endorsements from Reebok as well as community and international support Mr. Delves has created a recognizable fitness brand that works well for youth. “Health and fitness has been in my life since the age of 7 training in kickboxing and Kung fu with my father who was a professional kick boxer. In high school I started playing basketball which lead to scholarship offers that I had to decline after a serious injury during a game. After that injury I was adamant to build and strengthen my muscles. After training and enhancing my skills in boxing, cardio and weights I decided to take the next step and perfect the bar routine in the summer of 2010 and have developed different skills and tricks to this day.”

I was very impressed to see the conditioning and strengthening that takes effect from seeing someone work the cal. routine. “The cal. Movement has been very popular over the past 30 years and once I was introduced to it, I knew I wanted to introduce this movement to Toronto,” Mr. Delves stated. Seeing that The Body By Chosen movement is growing, I asked Mr. Delves what are some of his long and short term goals? “There are various goals I would like to achieve regarding the success of my own business. However the initial goal that had started the concept of my business was to spread the awareness with my father, who also has his own business 'Body by Dex' and assist in building an empire based on spreading awareness and educating as many minds about health, fitness, and the power of positivity.”

Page 36: The Digital Conglomerate Magazine Inc. - June 2012 Issue

After finding a few videos of the Body By Chosen movement on youtube I was able to see that any youth that has access to a typical playground with monkey bars can take advantage of the Body By Chosen routine. “We currently are in the process of working with youth organizations and group homes to educate fitness and health in the minds of youths as they are our future. When we are doing our routines in the park we highly encourage any one and any age to join in and get a taste of the bar movement which is increasingly becoming a high demand workout all over the world and very new to Toronto,” Mr. Delves stated. So sure, the routines are designed for anyone to take part in. “The main goal of our business is to increase the awareness of health and fitness to every gender, age group and strength levels. While watching some of Mr. Delves’s workout routines with some of his associates I could see that some of these routines looked quite dangerous, but after all it would look dangerous to someone that doesn’t know what they are doing. Mr. Delves stated, “I believe that everything can be achieved through the strength of the mind and then the body follows. Its rare to see someone perfect a move or trick in the first attempt and even more uncommon to see someone attempt it until they perfect it. Its just if you have he drive and ambition to get to where you need to get to regardless of the obstacles and excuses.” In finishing up our conversation I asked Mr. Delves about the future and getting into nutritional factors that show people how to maintain the proper diets while working routines. Do you have a plan for introducing nutritional focuses to your clients? Mr. Delves answered, “Right now we have a general guide line of what to eat and what not to eat but in the near future we would be providing full meal plans to our clients.”
