RUNWAY RUNDOWN

Material: Velvet Velvet adds a touch of fluidity to each piece, and when crafted in feminine silhouettes a glorious and powerful impact is created. Spotted in many styles on the runways, velvet has shed any connotations of the past and is quickly becoming the look for the modern girl. Some bold (a blood red jumpsuit comes to mind), some subtle (a delicate headband in deep emerald), but no matter the look, the experimental, yet classic essence is still present in every style. Wishing to harness the magic of the material for yourself? Try a bold velvet cocktail dress in a deep color for a perfect ensemble for any holiday party. Or to translate this experimental into your workplace, go for a cropped velvet blazer to spice up your office attire.

Print: PatchworkFor this upcoming season, patchwork has shed its image of scarecrows and grandma’s quilt and has now become a refined statement to make. No longer having to choose between fabrics, patchwork print creates a fashionable mishmash and chic juxtaposition with any look. Colorblocking is an understated yet intriguing print that is perfect for a work environment because of its subtle contrast, which will allow you to make a statement and still be workplace ready. And as the temperatures drop, a patchwork winter coat is the perfect outerwear to make sure you stand out amongst the snow and still look fashionable. The epitome of mixed media, patchwork is a unique and impactful trend try for this winter.

Neckline:Off the ShoulderWinter 2016 is the season to shrug your sleeve off your shoulders and let your hair down. Subtle and sexy, off-the-shoulder is the neckline that proclaims an aura of sophistication and shows a little bit of your inner bombshell. Worn on runways all over, off-the-shoulder neckline is an easy way to emit a classy and alluring vibe throughout your look with the simple detailing. For even more of a statement, try a top in all black that rests just below your shoulders, and pair it with high-waisted trousers to really create a striking ensemble of modern ease.

Hemline: CulottesCulottes could just be the biggest blessing of the holiday season so far. Deemed this season’s ‘It’pants, culottes come in several fabrics, ranging from printed to leather, and the opportunities to make a statement are endless. This wide-legged hemline makes a fashionable statement, as well as giving your legs a break from your skinny jean prison. For some, culottes might seem unwearable as they are indeed quite intimidating with all the oomph they pack into one outfit but with the right balance it can be done. When paired with a simple sweater tucked into the front, the balance between the top and the width of the bottom will give the ensemble more wearability and still show off your shape.

STYLE PROFILE

CQ Editor, Amanda Converse, first interviewed Tiffany Snow about her jewelry line Tiffany Jazelle in 2012 when she was selling at just a few stores in Massachusetts. At the time she shared that when she was deciding how to design her jewelry line, she knew she wanted every one of her pieces to mean something to the wearer, no matter what their age or beliefs. She wanted them to connect to her creation, much like she had to her own jewelry when she was growing up. Since then Tiffany has not only modeled for the magazine in its inaugural issue (we couldn’t not share that), but her jewelry is being worn by the likes of Megan Trainor and by fans across the country.

CQ: When we first met, you had just started your line, Tiffany Jazelle, how has it grown and changed in the last four years?

TS: I know! Crazy to think it was all just a dream and passion about four years ago and to now being nationally carried in over 250 retailers and growing. Since we last met we have added a lot more collections to TJ including gold, family inspired and now not only can you stack your wrists with TJ but you can layer your neck with your story too! I still do a lot of the same things I did in the beginning to help grow my brand, I still love hitting the road or taking trips to meet with retailers and also events where I am able to meet our customers. That is probably one of my favorite things about my job, meeting people that connect to my jewelry. They are the ones that inspire me every day to keep creating meaningful pieces.

CQ: How have you grown and changed in the last four years?

TS: To think back to when I began making jewelry out of my house to now having our own Headquarters with 5 full-time local employees and over 10 sales reps spread out throughout the country is the most surreal feeling. I am so incredibly blessed to have the most amazing and passionate team a part of TJ who are not only my employees but like family to me.

CQ: Who is the Tiffany Jazelle customer?

TS: The T. Jazelle customer is such a large demographic but one thing they all share is a story. Whether you connect to the stones, the symbols or the meaning.. By creating your collection with our necklaces or bracelets it is a way for you to WEAR YOUR STORY.

CQ: From our perspective, you have created a bracelet stacking phenomenon on the Cape – to what do you attribute your success and reach?

TS: I would have to say being able to connect with fans and retailers through doing events, trade shows and can't forget our social media. Since I started T. Jazelle I wanted my fans to be able to connect to my brand, it's more than just a bracelet or necklace; it's a story; a lifestyle, a way for people to feel a

positive connection. Our social media presence has now gained us a following all over the world, even a few totally amazing inspirational women including: music icon Meghan Trainor, Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson, Yoga Girl - Rachel Brathen to name a few!

CQ: What would you say was one of the goals you set when you started selling your bracelets that you are the most proud to have reached?

TS: My goal was to create something that made people smile, spread positivity and makes others feel good. And when a stranger tells me what their jewelry means to them, emails me why they purchased their TJ or when I see someone with a bracelet or necklace that's when I am most proud of what I have created!

CQ: Where on the Cape do you sell your product? 48

CQ: What have you done to get your line in boutiques across the country?

TS: I have done A LOT of traveling to target stores where I feel TJ would make a great fit! Also, getting involved in national trade shows and our sales reps all over the country have made a great impact.

CQ: How would you describe Cape Cod style in general?

TS: I feel so blessed to be able to live by the ocean... just like many other things in life being surrounded by scenic beaches, gorgeous sunsets, rustic landscapes the list could go on and on... but I believe Cape Cod has its own unique feel and fashion. The Cape has such a diverse mix of people with varying backgrounds which ultimately fosters quite a variety in fashion down here. From the eccentric streets and shops of Provincetown to the conservative, more classic styles of Chatham, the Cape covers a vast and unique fashion spectrum and that’s what I love about it.
