Wy nAT THE ROyAL INfIRmARy

Jonathan Owens art work looks at the essential qualities o an object or

image, and then he transorms its meaning and presents the viewer with

the curiously unexpected. Intricate and beautiul carvings and cut outs are

a trademark o this ascination with construction and de-construction. The

Doodle murals on the Medicine or the Elderly Wards are an example o how

Jonathan has encouraged sta to transorm specifc corners o the Infrmary.

I started my Nursery

Nurse training in 1979 and

the same year started to

teach highland dancing,

so have been doing both

or over 30 years and I love

both. I teach 6 Highland

dance classes a week

and 1 National class, my

pupils range rom 317

years old and most o

the girls start at a young

age. Classes take place

in Pentland Community

Centre on Mondays and

Fairmilehead Church Hall

on Wednesdays.
