Ministry Celebration!

Happy New Year! On August 1st our new church year

begins. Our Sunday School teachers and workers have

committed to a new year of ministry. Our Wednesday night

teachers and leaders have done the same. Similarly, the

workers serving on our 32 Committees have committed

themselves to serve in this new church year. “Shout outs”

go to each person who has volunteered to serve this year

and to the Nominating Committee and Committee on

Committees for recruiting these servants. We are truly a

God-blessed church to have so many faithful men and

women loving and serving Jesus and His Church!

I’d say that’s worth celebrating! I’d say we ought to rejoice

in God’s goodness to our church. We need to celebrate God

providing FBC Headland with godly and quality men and

women who love their church and eagerly serve! I’d say we

ought to raise the roof about this! I’d say we ought to throw

a party!

So….that’s exactly what we’re planning for Sunday night,

August 25th! I can see it now! A crowded Ministry Center

filled with all our ministry workers. A fish fry with all the

trimmings! A celebration of God’s goodness to our church

as witnessed through all our various ministries. Joyous

fellowship with our church family. Entertainment that’s

second to none. And a really, really, really short word from

the pastor – like really brief! Hooray!

In the weeks to come you will hear more about this special

evening and how you can reserve your spot. I hope you’ll

mark your calendar and help us celebrate the ministries and

ministry workers of our church to the glory of God!

Gotta go – they’re calling me to help with the balloons!

Something about hot air?
