GOVERNOR ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER

October 30, 2007

Mr. Arnie KleinerGeneral ManagerKABC-TV Los Angeles500 Circle Seven DriveGlendale, California 91201

Dear Mr. Kleiner,

On behalf of this great state's elected leaders, firefighters, law enforcement professionals, charitable organizations and hundreds of thousands of our fellow Californians, Maria andI offer our gratitude and admiration. Thank you to you, KABC and the Walt DisneyCompany for the role you played in helping us through this month's devastatingwildfires.

We can say with absolute certainty that, as difficult and heartbreaking as the past severaldays have been, they would have been even more so without your generosity. KABC'shugely valuable reporting and related information meant the world to evacuees who, inmany cases, had little left but questions. It's difficult to overestimate what solid, realtime information and a safe place to sleep and food to eat and help rebuilding their livescan mean to people who have lost nearly all else.

Clearly, there is still much work to be done as the people of Southern California begin topick up the pieces. Truthfully, we have no doubt that we can do it - especially with thesuppOli and encouragement we've received from across the nation. KABC and the WaltDisney Company overall have proven themselves leaders and friends to the people ofCalifornia. Thank you again.

With warm regards,

Arnold Schwarzenegger
