RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES – Students beginning in fourth grade are invited to join Mount Carmel’s Altar Server Ministry. Training is provided and observation at Mass is conducted prior to actually serving at a Mass.

You’re invited to join our Catechetical Ministry. We currently need Substitute Catechists for Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 9:55 and Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:45.

Catechists for Children’s Liturgy of the Word are also needed on Sunday mornings at the 10 AM Mass. Please contact Mary Ann Nelson at 201-568-0545 or [email protected] if you are interested in joining this ministry.

The Religious Education Program is a curriculum of continuous religious instruction for students beginning in kindergarten and continuing each year through eighth grade. Class choices are Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 9:55 and Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 until 4:45. The next meeting of the OLMC Medical Mission is scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at 9:30 AM in the Titus Room.

Our mission will be traveling to an area of Lima, Peru in late September/October of 2018. If you are interested in attending the mission or working actively to support us, please make every effort to attend the meeting. Although the dates sound far away, there is much to be done and most of it must be accomplished by late spring.

ARCHDIOCESE OF NEWARK FILIPINO APOSTOLATE

YOU ARE INVITED to the 10th Anniversary Mass in Honor of San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod on September 24, 2017 at 3 PM at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark.

The main celebrant and preacher will be Archbishop Bernardito Auza, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations. A light reception is to follow after Mass at the Archdiocesan Center.
