Pastors, Parish Life Coordinators, Parish Catechetical Leaders and NCYC Contacts,

our pilgrimage will go from Wednesday, Nov. 15th
to Sunday, Nov. 19th

The National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), which hosts NCYC, is
undergoing a large transition and has not released any information on pricing yet. We know that
many of you want to get the ball rolling with advertising and recruitment: please feel free to do
so! For now, our estimate of the cost is between $550 and $600 per person again this year.

April 15th
, 2017 $175 per participant

registrations have been submitted to NFCYM (in the fall) a substitution fee of $40 will be
charged. No further substitutions will be permitted after October15th.
All registration and payments must come through the parishes. Please have all the individual
participants’ checks made out to your parish and then send one individual check for your parish
group. All checks must be made out to “Diocese of Superior” with ‘NCYC’ in the memo and
mailed to:
Bishop Hammes Center – NCYC

upon request.

2017 NCYC Leadership:
The religious education team at St. Joseph in Rice Lake very generously organized and led the
NCYC pilgrimage in 2015. Thank you again Rose, Rhonda and Laura – you gals did an amazing
job! However, it was a tremendous amount of work for one of the parishes to have to take on; so,
Bishop Powers has asked that the diocesan staff once again facilitate the 2017 trip. Accordingly,
please direct all NCYC inquiries to me, Peggy or Grace at the Bishop Hammes Center.
Please visit the website (at catholicdos.org/nation-catholic-youth-conference) for promotional
flyers and forthcoming registration information.
We very much look forward to making this pilgrimage next year and to helping the youth of our
diocese encounter Christ in this powerful event. Thank you so much for your support of youth
ministry in the diocese and in your local parishes!
In Christ our hope,
Chris Hurtubise
Associate Director of Catholic Formation
Diocese of Superior
