sponsorshipMost event venues have an exclusivity commitment with either Coke or Pepsi on premise, limiting sales

and promotion activity at events. Coming in as a “sponsor” overrides some of the agreements set forth by beverage contracts. This gives some room for event organizers to offer an outside beverage such as Jarritos sales

opportunities onsite during events.

One of the best examples of sponsorship opportunities has been working with Ovations the company that handles food and beverage at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA. In late 2010 Pepsi secured an exclusivity deal with Ovations during the Orange County Fair. However, Jarritos moved forward with minimal sponsorships and secured itself as a beverage option at over 10 events that varied between 2-5 days each. These events attract thousands of non-Hispanic consumers to the large venue. At each event Team Jarritos is there for sale support and producing trials of Jarritos product.

Photos provided above reflect the 3 day 2011 Musink Rock & Art Festival (Orange County Fairgrounds). Over 4500 in attendance had the option to purchase a Jarritos Lime, Pineapple and Mandarin where Team Jarritos was on premise for sales support. As you can see from the photo Jarritos moved faster than the competition on the shelf. A “Paloma” cocktail utilizing Jarritos Grapefruit as a mixer was also available at concession stand.

Another such venture has been the National Orange Showground’s in San Bernardino, CA. In 2010 Jarritos sponsored various events, among them the Guerilla Union Music and Art Festival which drew over 50,000 spectators. Jarritos was again available for purchase and Team Jarritos was on premise to motivate sales at this Coke strong hold. This year Jarritos will sponsor 7 events at NOS Event Center giving the brand a competitive edge against other beverages. Team Jarritos will continuing working hard along side sales team inoder to secure more of these great opportunities.
