U - P ick Tips for a Successful Trip Call ahead and confirm crop availability, hours open, get directions, growers requirements (bring your own container or are they supplied), ask if children are allowed, are bathroom facilities available?

Dress for the weather! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you won’t mind getting stained or dirty. A hat, gloves, sunglasses, hand wipes and sunscreen (get the back of your neck!) may come in handy. Don’t forget water. Include a camera if it’s a family outing.

Check the weather forecast. Mornings are usually cooler picking weather. If it is a warm day you may want to bring a cooler to store your pickings in so they are fresh when you get home.
