• On page 34 it talks about that one law closed the port of Boston to all trade. New laws went into effect on June 1,1774. Boston observed the occasion with a day of fasting and prayers. British warships blocked Boston Harbor, and troops poured into the city.

• On page 44 in the spring of 1775 the Continental Congress met once more in Philadelphia. First order of business was the creation of an army to fight for the American cause. Also, John Hancock who avoided getting captured in Lexington, served as a president of the Continental Congress.
