advanced safety systems.

There are lots of ways the all-new Swift Sport helps protect

you. Dual Sensor Brake Support warns you of potential

collisions and applies the brakes if required to help avoid or

reduce damage from a collision. Lane Departure Warning will

tell you when you’re straying off track, and Lane Departure

Prevention gently guides you back on track, helping you

drive more safely. High Beam Assist will automatically switch

your headlights between low and high beam based on road

conditions, and Adaptive Cruise Control will keep the right

distance between you and the vehicle ahead.

Every all-new Swift Sport also comes with six airbags, a rear

parking camera and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) to help

maintain traction, so you can enjoy the drive feeling protected.

1. Alerts the driver with an audio warning and visual warning.

2. Deploys brake assist to increase braking force if the risk of collision is high and the driver panic breaks.

3. Applies strong automatic braking if the risk of collision increases even more.

Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS)

When moving, the new Swift Sport uses two sensors – a monocular camera and a laser sensor – to determine if there’s a risk of collision with a forward vehicle or pedestrian. Upon detecting a potential collision, the car acts in any of the following three ways, depending on the situtation.

Lane Departure Warning

At 60 km/h or faster, the Lane Departure Warning function is designed to predict the path of the vehicle and issue visual (display and indicator) and tactile (vibrating steering wheel) warnings to the driver (standard on vehicles with DSBS).

Radar Brake Support (RBS)

When moving, the all-new Swift Sport uses millimetre-wave radar to detect the vehicle in front. Upon detecting a potential collision, the car acts in any of the following four ways, depending on the situation.

1. Alerts the driver with a warning when there is the possibility of a collision.

2. Alerts the driver by applying a light brake.

3. Supports the driver’s braking by increasing braking force.

4. Automatically applies the brake.**

** In cars equipped with a monocular camera and laser sensor, automatic braking is

employed via DSBS.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

When there’s a vehicle in front, the Adaptive Cruise Control system uses millimetre-wave radar designed to gauge the distance between the two vehicles and automatically maintains vehicle-to-vehicle distance in line with the setting selected out of three possible settings.* When there is no vehicle in front, the system maintains the speed (from 40 km/h to 160 km/h) set by the driver.

* The vehicle-to-vehicle distance varies depending on vehicle speed.

Lane Departure Prevention

During speeds of 60 km/h to 160 km/h, the lane is recognised via a monocular camera. When interpreting that lane departure is likely to occur, the car automatically assists the driver in returning the vehicle back into the lane by controlling the steering via the electric power steering system.

Weaving Alert

At 60 km/h or faster, the weaving alert is designed to calculate the driving pattern and issue audio and visual warnings if the vehicle is ‘wandering’ due to driver drowsiness, etc. (standard on vehicles with DSBS).

At 40 km/h or faster, High Beam Assist is designed to automatically switch the headlights between ‘High’ and ‘Low’, depending on the presence of other

vehicles and the lighting environment (standard on vehicles with DSBS).
