The Scary Guy Presents to our Year 11 Leavers at The Acorns School.

A surprise was in store for our Year 11 Leavers coming into school on Tuesday 14th July … a meeting with The Scary Guy (Yes! That’s his legal name!) and a memorable lesson to take forward into life after school!

Scary was a former tattoo artist from America when he legally changed his name in 1998 after a rival tattoo artist ran a negative full-page advert about him in a newspaper, asking:

“Are you tired of dealing with scary guys with war paint facial tattoos?”

Scary says that hearing this woke him up to how negative humans were with one another; and that is where his work began. For the last 22 years, The Scary Guy has worked with mil-lions of people worldwide, teaching his powerful lessons on human behaviours and communication.

His striking appearance and heart of gold challenge the negative stereotypes which people often label him with when they first see him:

“I decided to change my behaviour and do something about the name-calling, put-downs and negative words I had used for a full 43 years!” says Scary.

“A bully is a professional victim who has been picked on their whole life. They justify their behaviour based on their own experiences. Today I don’t label anybody as bad. I treat everybody the same; with Love and Respect and then teach them how to heal.”
