Ann B. Burns
Ann is the chair of the Trust, Estate & Charitable Planning group at GrayPlant Mooty. Her practice focuses on estate planning,business succession Planning, estate & trust administration, and fiduciary and tax litigation.
Ann brings a unique mix of skills to her lawpractice as a CPA (inactive) and a principal in the firm. She represents multi-generational familiesof wealth throughout the country, assisting and guiding them in their relationships with trustees and other advisors. Ann also represents individualand corporate trustees in estate & tax planning andin fiduciary controversies in state and federal courts.
She has presented numerous seminars on topicsrelated to estate planning, trusts, estates, and taxation. Ann was featured in an article in The New YorkTimes focusing on how the uncertainty of the estate tax’sfate is challenging heirs.

Kathryn W. Miree Kathryn W. Miree is the president and primary consultant for Kathryn W. Miree & Associates,Inc., now in its 11th year of operation. Shespent 15 years in various positions in the Trust Division of a large southeastern bank rising tothe position of Senior Vice President andmanager of the Personal Trust Department.
She then joined a regional brokerage firm to establish its trust company and served as its initial President and CEO.
Kathryn is a past president of the national Committee onPlanned Giving, past president of the Alabama PlannedGiving council, past president of the Estate Planning Councilof Birmingham, and past president of the Alabama Bankers Association Trust Division. She is a member of the AlabamaBar Association and Birmingham Bar Association. She is a nationally recognized speaker and author on nonprofit giftplanning and administration topics.
