A champion among luxury SUVs.The 2015 M-Class has presence: its contoured, muscular body

is cast from a single body mould; its aggressive AMG-styling

projects power. But it’s no brute: the M-Class has style. The broad

diagonal of the hallmark M-Class C-pillar, well forward of the

rear of the vehicle, deftly counters any sense of SUV bulk, while

wraparound tail lamps draw the eye around the vehicle. Chrome-

Power, agility, comfort. Pick three.Let’s start with power. Specifi cally, powertrains. Beneath the hood of the ML 400 4MATIC™

is a 3.0L direct injection Bi-turbo V6 that delivers a muscular 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft

of torque. The ML 550 4MATIC™ provides even more power: 402 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque,

from a compact and low-weight 4.6L Bi-turbo engine designed for reduced friction loss and

optimized fuel consumption.

The ultimate exercise of power in the M-Class is the ML 63 AMG. A 5.5L AMG Bi-turbo V8 delivers

518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. An AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission

selects gears directly, and changes them in less than 100 milliseconds. The result is uninterrupted

torque delivery, and smooth, optimized shifting – the optimal delivery of ultimate power.

For those whose power requirements lean more to outstanding towing capacity (or remarkable

fuel effi ciency), the 3.0L Turbo V6 diesel engine in the ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC™ delivers

240 horsepower and a whopping 455 lb-ft of torque.

What’s next? Agility and comfort. AIRMATIC with Adaptive Damping System (ADS)1 takes M-Class

driving enjoyment to new levels – literally. At high speeds, the ride height of the M-Class is

automatically lowered for aerodynamic handling. With heavy payloads, the air suspension keeps

the ride height constant.

complete confi dence no matter what the season or road conditions.

It is always engaged, sending torque to each wheel independently

and ensuring optimal traction and control. 4MATIC™ is aided by our

4-wheel Electronic Traction System (4ETS) which monitors each wheel,

individually braking wheels in the event of slip. 4ETS continuously

ensures that power goes only to the wheels with grip, even if only one

wheel has traction.

The M-Class’ extremely sturdy passenger cage protects occupants by

way of energy-absorbing front-end, reinforced doors, extended crumple

zones, and an elevated ride position. COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST

automatically alerts the driver in the event of an impending rear end

collision, while Passive Blind Spot Assist1 monitors vehicles around you.2

The Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) enhances control by monitoring

your steering and braking, making instantaneous adjustments if it senses

loss of control or stability. Seatbelts feature Emergency Tensioning

Devices (ETDs) to help remove seatbelt slack in more severe front or

rear impacts. Rest assured, driving an M-Class means driving protected.
