They are ingrained mental, physical, social, and emotional behaviors that have been formed and adjusted over the span of a lifetime. Leadership Skill-Building Workshops
While the competencies and responsibilities of the High Impact Leadership Model™ are applicable to leaders at all levels, our research has revealed that the most critical skills for leadership effectiveness vary depending on a leader’s level of responsibility. For this reason GILD offers two paths for skill development: The Emerging Leader Program or The Senior Leader Program. Both consist of 5 interactive workshops designed to meet the needs of either emerging or senior leaders. Practical and intensive, each program provides instruction, simulations, practice and tools.
The 5 core leadership skills for each level are:
Shared Skills
1. Personal Productivity
2. Coaching and Mentoring
Senior Leader Skills Emerging Leader Skills
3. Strategic Thinking 3. Decision Making
4. Leading Change 4. Relationship Building
5. Communication 5. Leading Teams

One-on-One Executive Coaching
Each participant will work one-on-one with an Executive Coach, who will be assigned based on relevance to your industry and years of experience. Each coach will help participants understand their leadership qualities in the context of their personal environment and will guide them in the creation of an Individual Development Plan (IDP).
During the GILD experience, participants will:
• Receive 2-3 hours of private executive coaching to help focus on specific learning goals and create personal development plans
• Utilize a proven behavioral change process, based on the work of Marshall Goldsmith, that they can use throughout their careers
• Benefit from a formal follow-up six months after the GILD immersion program where their coach will help to consolidate their learning and transfer it to their work

“I would recommend GILD because of the opportunity for personal growth, to see a different and more healthy perspective, and to be more successful and fulfilled. What better investment is there for the long-term?” – Frank McGrane, Senior VP, Citizens Bank
Learning Teams
Learning Teams serve as a powerful medium for peer connection and learning application. During these times, key concepts are synthesized by group reflection and connection to real-world context. Learning Teams are facilitator-led and meet together for several hours daily, and offer participants the opportunity to:
• Build a life-long network with executive-level peers • Exchange ideas, best-practices and leadership
lessons• Crystallize your adoption of the curriculum and
expand your perspectives.
“Even though the speakers were outstanding, I especially enjoyed the team meetings and the executive coaching. I had the fortune of being assigned to a largely international team. The team was very diverse and became a safe place to share and grow with others. I expect to see some of them again.” - Daphne Barlow, President, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth
