1. Your photo should take up 60% of the frame
2. Should be a CURRENT & Professional-looking photo (It does NOThave to be a photo professionally taken though)
3. Dress to the expectations of your desired audience
STEP 3:CONTACT DETAILS
1. Personalize your LinkedIn URL2. Add your websites & landing
pages as "Other" websites so you
can utilize your own keywords
3. Add your “professional” email
address (the one you would like
prospective clients to reach you)
4. Twitter (if you have one)5. Birthday (important: you want to
show up in all of your contacts
notifications at least once a year)
STEP 4:HEADLINE
1. This is your own advertising "hook" - DON'T just put your job title
2. Use pain points & outcomes with a call to action! Use all 120 characters3. Examples: "Want Proper Homeowners Insurance Without Paying Too Much?
☆Premiere Baltimore Insurance Agent☆ ☞Message Me!"; "Want to Sell Your

STEP 5:SUMMARY1. Write in 1st Person format and use ALL of the real estate (2,000 character limit)2. This is your "Virtual Sales Letter"...so SPEAK DIRECTLY TO YOUR AUDIENCE!3. Show your perfect audience how you can help them - And use keywords they
would search for to help rank your profile higher in their searches!4. End with a clear call to action so they know what to do next5. Add photos, PDF guides/checklists and links to videos to your summary
STEP 6:CURRENT AND PAST EXPERIENCE
1. Write in first person format (noticing a trend here?)
2. Add photos and videos that capture attention
3. Since you aren't hunting for a job, DON'T just list your typicalwork experience. Utilize this space like you did for yoursummary - talk about the pain points of your audience and howyou can bring them solutions through the role you have
4. Don’t add every position you’ve ever had (no need to list jobsthat are irrelevant to your target audience
STEP 7:EDUCATION
1. Keep this up-to-date
2. Link to college or university
3. Tap into your academic network
STEP 8:SKILLS AND ENDORSEMENTS
1. Make sure your top 3 skills are the ones you want people toendorse (you can control your top 3)
2. Give endorsements for skills to other and they will reciprocate!
5. MAKE SURE you have at least ONE CURRENT job and TWOPREVIOUS jobs listed. (LinkedIn requires you to list at least threejobs to count towards having a "complete" profile)
STEP 9:RECOMMENDATIONS
1. ASK for recommendations & GIVE them too!
2. Aim for at least 3 recommendations from current orprevious clients to help showcase your intangibles
STEP 10: INTERESTS
1. Look at profiles of your target audience and join groupsTHEY are members of (great networking opportunity)
2. Follow pages that truly interest you
