United States Oil and Gas Digital Petrodata GIS data – Permian In an effort to provide a quick and comprehensive understanding of the U.S. oil and gas exploration and production landscape TGS has developed “SMART” oil and gas field, pool (reservoir) and producing formation GIS outlines. These outlines are based on field and pool definitions by State and Federal agencies. These new GIS outlines enable users to: Visualize the geographic extent of fields and pools Analyze spatial patterns in oil and gas discoveries, size, and production Quantify spatial variations in pools by stratigraphic unit Integrate with other regional geologic information in a GIS The Version 2 GIS data solution consist of three distinct GIS polygon types: Oil and Gas Field Polygons depict the geographic extent of producing fields, based on well locations. GIS data includes more than 190 data attributes and has an emphasis on production data. Historical cumulative, last 5 years cumulative, and annual production data since 2000 for oil and gas fields is provided. Included is more than 10,400 Fields polygons across the Permian Basin. Oil and Gas Pool Polygons represent the spatial extent of producing pools (reservoirs) within fields. Pool definitions are based on reported production data and a field typically contains several pools. GIS data includes more than 240 data attributes and has an emphasis on geologic age, primary rock type and comprehensive production data. Included is more than 18,475 AAPG Formation Code normalized Pool polygons across the Permian Basin based on 660 unique formations. Oil and Gas Producing Formation Polygons depict the geographic extent of producing fields, based on well locations. GIS data includes more than 190 data attributes and has an emphasis on production data. Historical cumulative, last 5 years cumulative, and annual production data since 2000 for oil and gas fields is provided. Included is more than 10,400 Fields polygons across the Permian Basin. United States Oil and Gas Digital Petrodata GIS data – PermianIn an effort to provide a quick and comprehensive understanding of the U.S. oil and gas exploration and production landscape TGS has developed “SMART” oil and gas field, pool (reservoir) and producing formation GIS outlines. These outlines are based on field and pool definitions by State and Federal agencies. These new GIS outlines enable users to:

Visualize the geographic extent of fields and pools Analyze spatial patterns in oil and gas discoveries, size, and

production

Quantify spatial variations in pools by stratigraphic unit Integrate with other regional geologic information in a GIS

The Version 2 GIS data solution consist of three distinct GIS polygon types:

Oil and Gas Field Polygons depict the geographic extent of producing fields, based on well locations.

GIS Data Highlights: Data is typically delivered on a regional basis. The data delivery

contains the core shapefiles, full documentation, and MS Access database with the data sets.

Regional data deliveries also contain a number of supplemental GIS data sets which include; political boundaries, USGS Province outlines, geologic boundaries, faults and other supporting geologic data.

For Esri users we have developed 3 core pre-built MXD templates (Field, Pool and Producing Formation) for our customers to use so they can quickly start using our data and maximize their opportunities.

With our Version 2 data we are now providing hyperlinks from the shapefiles directly to our US O&G Field, Pool and Producing Formation Reporting System. From here users can quickly access Web pages which contain production charting and all of the attributes behind every polygon.

Version 2 users also have access to hyperlinked Web-Based stratigraphic columns that are relative to the geologic area that is being researched.

Pool level GIS data has been strategically named with AAPG age codes and names so when you add them to G&G & GIS software applications it is easy to arrange the polygons in order of stratigraphic age. Users of our Esri MXD’s will also leverage the extensive effort we have spent to arrange the more significant producing Pool polygons in stratigraphic order.

Flexible Data LicensingOur data licensing process has always been straightforward and simple. Data may be licensed on a One-Time or 3 Year Subscription basis. Once data has been licensed you will be able to use it beyond your subscription period (provided you adhere to the License Agreement) and you will not need to remove it from your servers and/or projects. Licensed data can be used by an unlimited number of users and at multiple office locations. We also offer discounts to companies which purchase more than one region.
