EXT. SNOWY MOUNTAINS - DAY

An impressive panoramic wide shot showing snow coveredmountains in all their majesty.

EXT. SNOWY PLAINS - DAY

A wide shot of a large snowy expanse. White powder coverseverything, from the trees and shrubs that dot the plainsto the occasional jagged cavern.

The sun hangs low in the sky, its feeble light barelybreaking the gloom.

Snow begins to lightly fall as CLOSE UP reveals a fresh,lone set of boot prints.

PULLBACK and SWEEP across the expanse to pick up a solitaryfigure that trudges along. A thick, white hooded coatobscures their identity.

The figure pauses as if sensing something. The personremoving their hood to reveal a beautiful but sombre woman.Her black hair pulled into a loose bun. This is ALEXANDRASKYLE.

She continues to walk on caught up in her own thoughts.That is, until she frowns, something off screen drawing herattention.

NEW ANGLE reveals an Astata carcass, a deer-like animal,its partially shredded and chomped flesh, already frozen.Some other creatures dinner.

Almost hidden, a baby astata huddles up close to its deadmother. Shivering in the cold.

She nimbly unbuttons and slips her coat off revealing apale white and blue jump suit. She drapes it over the

shivering calf, wrapping it snugly as she scoops it up inher arms.

Alexandra glances up in the distance and we see herdestination: a massive icy cavern that LOOMS up.

INT. ICY CAVERN - DAY

Two snow mobile crafts, idle here. Streams of vapour risingoff the heat of the engines.

A pale, distinctly androgenous man, COHEN, sits at thecontrols of one. Bored as hell. A lit chaatu stick hangingout the left side of his mouth.

A bald man, FULLER, sits at the other crafts controls. Herubs his hands together in an attempt to keep warm.

FULLERAi, pass me one. By the looks ofit were going to be here awhile.

Cohen takes out another cinnamon coloured stick from hiscoat. He quickly lights it using his own before passing itto Fuller.

FULLER (CONTD)Lo Mokol. Its fressing colderthan Lazenbys prenka routine.

They chuckle as they glance up shifting FOCUS to:

A small camp set up further inside the cavern. Five peoplesit around chatting and bundled up against the cold. Theyare:

GREDENKO, a bearded portly man in his forties.

FISHER, a young man who wears distinctive thin black rimmedglasses.

LAZENBY, a red haired female.

HALE, a black man in his thirties and a blonde man, ATKINS.

He glances warily to another two figures just out ofearshot. They seem to be locked in an intense conversation.

One of these figures, is DALE STEBBINS, a dark haired manin his thirties, who examines the cavern wall.

Ancient engravings and a distinctive symbol of a snow flakedecorate the wall here.

STEBBINSLook Ive only got three moresymbols to work out. Ill be donesoon.

A balding, dark haired man in his late forties gives him animpatient, almost exasperated look. This is TAMBLIN.

TAMBLINYouve been saying that for halfthe day. Ive tried it your way-

STEBBINS(concerned)

But Sir you cant just-

TAMBLIN(warning)

Ill generously ignore thatoutburst. Due to our sharedSnowfelt heritage.

Stebbins swallows but doesnt press the issue. Tamblinglances to Gredenko who quickly crosses over to them.

TAMBLIN (CONTD)Youre up.

GREDENKO(grins)

Finally. A chance to use my newbeauties.

He eagerly removes a palm sized black disc from a bag slungover his shoulder.

TAMBLINIt wont seal us in?

GREDENKO(shakes his head)

Nah. Its a localized radiusblast. I designed it so that theshock waves should onlyreverberate outwards from thecavern, dispersing its effectshere.

TAMBLINGood. Good.

Gredenko sticks the black disc to the cavern wall.

STEBBINSThat could still set off anavalanche outside.

GREDENKOYni. So what?

TAMBLINLess talking more blasting. Thatancient treasure wont stealitself.

As Tamblin watches Gredenko set the explosive charge.


Alexandra continues on her trek now carrying the babyastata in her arms. The coldness already starting to get toher as she starts to shiver.

The tranquility of the surroundings are suddenly shatteredby a BOOM!

Birds squawk, loudly unsettled by this as they scatter fromnearby trees.

The calf also starts at this. Mewing loudly andplaintively. Scared. Alexandra strokes its head gentlywhile rocking it to sleep.

ALEXANDRA(softly singing)

Hush little calf,Dont say a peep,Were out in the open,Where the shadows creep.

The baby astata finally settles down and a small, genuine

smile finally graces her features.

Until she hears the sound of low, deep rumbling. Alexandrainstinctively glances up at the sound, at the mountainabove her.

Snow is dangerously cascading towards her. Its anavalanche!

EXT. MILITARY BARRACKS - TA VERION

An ancient domed building LOOMS up in the skyline of theunderground city.

PUSH IN past its barred gates to a sprawling court yard.

Young maroon clad soldiers engage in military exercises.

Some spar while others run a complex obstacle course.Another group even complete military drills insynchronisation with their comrades.

INT. COMMAND COUNCIL ROOM - MILITARY BARRACKS

TAZUL, DBRONZE, SELENE and UVERE sit at a round table inthe tail end of a meeting. The meeting comprised of anothertwelve COMMANDERS, men and women of various ages. Allattention is on a greying blonde man, COMMANDER WILCOMBE.

WILCOMBEAs you all know Ill be standingdown to spend more time with myfamily. Im opening the floor forsuggestions of potentialcandidates for my replacement.

As the others all begin to murmur and break out inconversation amongst themselves at this announcement.

EXT. MILITARY BARRACKS - TA VERION

Sara strides up to the barred gates.

A sentry box overlooks the entrance from safely within the

confines of the barracks. A maroon clad female soldierapproaches the gate.

SOLDIERYour business?

Sara rolls up her sleeve showing her golden armband.

SARAJust visiting.

INT. HALL - MILITARY BARRACKS - MOMENTS LATER

Sara walks down a corridor passing maroon clad cadets andofficers that cast her suspicious glances.


The meeting appears over as people casually mingle andchat, standing around the room. Tazul converses withWilcombe while Uvere talks to a dark haired femalecommander.

Other commanders trail out and passed them.

FOCUS ON Dbronze and Selene who are still seated.

DBRONZELettys making desittas. Imfrying the most juiciest brahminstraeti this side of Dregovia.How can ya resist?

SELENEYet somehow I find I still can.

DBRONZEIf ya not doing anything and Iknow ya aint, theres always aseat.

Selene gives him an appraising look, raising one of hereyebrows.

SELENEWhat makes you think I haventgot any better offers?

Dbronze looks ready to jokingly respond but pauses as Sarahesitantly enters the room. Selene shoots her a go awaylook.

SELENE (CONTD)Were not finished yet.

SARA(apologetic)

Oh. Sorry Ill-

Dbronze gives her a friendly smile.

DBRONZEActually we are.

He nods over to where Tazuls still chatting with Wilcombe.

He nods before departing. Tazul seems surprized by Sarasappearance.

They lapse into an awkward silence thats broken by adistinctive sequence of beeps coming from a voice net hub afew feet away.

INT. BED CHAMBER - LOFT - DAY

PAN across a sumptuously decorated bed chamber. Everythingscreams money from the thick, richly woven rugs to thegilded framed art works that dot the walls.

FOCUS ON the large four poster bed as we PUSH IN and pastthe silky privacy curtain. ALEXA lies in bed, awake. A wellmuscled, black man with short cropped hair sleeps besideher. This is MAURICE BLAINE.

He rolls over and sleepily turns to her.

Alexas hand fondly traces his features.

She leans in and kisses him deeply. Maurice reciprocatinglustfully but she breaks from it abruptly, as she rememberssomething.

MAURICE(thrown)

Come on, Dimitris the emperorsfavourite. Hes as slippery asthey come. So unless youve gotsome conclusive evidence...

(beat; hopeful)Stay with me, for once.

Alexa seems to genuinely consider this as Maurice gives hera decidedly lascivious look.

ALEXAAs tempting as that offer is.Ive got some fyal hunting to do.

We STAY ON Alexas determined expression.


Back to Tazul and Sara alone in the meeting room. Tazul now

stands at the voice net hub.

LILYI need your help. Alexsdisappeared. She left solar daysago, for the Temple of Valla.

TAZULShe never arrived?

Lily bites her lip, unsure and nervous.

Tazul watches as Sara now rustles through a collection ofvariously coloured thick winter coats hanging in a spaciouscompartment.

TAZULAs amusing as it is to watch youdecide, we need to leave. Now.

SARAAlright, alright.

She selects a thick, pale blue coat.

TAZUL(impatient)

Finally. The others are waitingfor us.

As Tazul goes to leave, Sara quickly follows.

INT. AURELIUS ROYAL PALACE - INNER SANCTUM

Tazul and Sara walk past, each clutching a change of winterclothing for their trip.

NEW ANGLE reveals Trovenus who peeks out from his room.Theres a thick, furry coat slung over his arm.

SARAAll Im saying is the more people

you have out there looking themore likely-

The colourful and tropical greenery of a tropicalrainforest LOOMS up as a grey shuttle SWOOPS past overhead.

Uvere is at the navigation controls guiding the shuttle.Upon sighting the tropical foliage through the viewport,Selene and Dbronze both share an exasperated look.

ANGLE ON the shuttles viewport reveals a fast approaching,stretch of stone. Symbols etched in the paved run wayGLINT.

The shuttle HUMS as it touches down. A ramp extendsoutwards to a waiting person. Only the back of the personsdark blue suit can be seen.

REVERSE ANGLE reveals the person is Chardonnae who offers asly grin.

CHARDONNAEEkadai, ladies and gentlemen.

He indicates an overstuffed bag on the floor beside him.

The shuttle flies overhead past snow capped mountains.

An expansive snow dusted metropolis. FOCUS ON a whitebuilding, spiral towers made of ice at each point, facing

north, south, east and west. This is the SNOWFELT PALACE.

Three snow mobile-like crafts trundle above the snowyexpanse. CLOSE ON one of the crafts to pick out theoccupants: Lily, Chardonnae, Tazul, Uvere, Trovenus andSara.

INT. SNOW MOBILE 1 - DAY

Lily pilots the craft as she talks.

LILYOur scouts spotted the notorioustreasure hunters on the way to

the temple.

Everyone assisting in the search is assembled here. Lilystands in the center. A holographic schematicrepresentation of a temple is projected from a whitebracelet on her wrist.

LILYThe underground temple has sixmain entrances each one onlyaccessible by the cavern network.

She points to each of the entrances on the schematic inturn.

LILY (CONTD)My plan is we all divide intoteams of three and take eachentrance, searching the areas aswe go.

(beat)John and Selene will track thetreasure hunters. Ill remind youto avoid spilling blood on itshallowed ground. Oh and goodfortune.

She smiles hopefully at everyone before the group quicklybreaks up into teams.

Lily and two other men go one way. While three othersnowfelt women go another.

Tazul, Trovenus and Uvere walk off together. LeavingDbronze, Chardonnae and Sara the last three remaining.

Both men regard the other warily. Sara grabs both men bythe arm.

Tamblin leads his team further into the innards of thecavern. He smiles the smile of a predator as he spiessomething off screen.

Tamblins POV reveals a beautiful, ancient and sprawlingice temple. This is the TEMPLE OF VALLA.

TAMBLIN

Were almost there.

Tamblin and his group of treasure hunters eagerly press on.

EXT. FUSCHIA FALLS - DAY

An establishing shot of the vibrant waterfall city as weZOOM across the skyline to stop at:

EXT. KARKOFF MANSION - DAY

The now familiar two storey sprawling mansion. Alexa standsat the grand marble entrance as the door swings inwards toreveal a sombre, dark haired man in his late twenties. Thisis TYBALT KARKOFF.

ALEXA(sweetly)

Apologies for the intrusion inyour time of grief. I just wantedto come in person to extend my

condolences.

Tybalt gives her a small smile seeming touched by thegesture.

TYBALTI appreciate you making theeffort.

Tybalt leads the way into his residence.

He pauses as Selene throws her hand up gesturing for him tostop.

SELENE(off him)

If I knew it was that easy toshut you up Id have done itsooner.

She sniffs the area deeply as she glances around her,spotting a cavern just ahead.

SELENE (CONTD)They went that way.

Both head toward the icy cavern mouth.

KINCAIDIm impressed.

(winks; sly)Well get some action soonenough, eh?

SELENENot if you keep running yourmouth. Theyll hear us intoshesbefore they even see us.

KINCAIDAah, but thats where weve thehome advantage.

He taps the side of one of his temples knowingly.

SELENEYoure not a snowfelt by birth,are you?

Kincaid smirks at her question, amused more than offendedas they step into the cavern.


Kincaid stands, his arms crossed as Selene crouches here to

examine the snow.

The loshkas muscles ripple as they POUNCE. Kincaid tossesa stun pistol to Selene. She BLASTS two, both yelping inpain as the SPARKS hit their fur.

They slide to a stop before her. Stunned.

Kincaid fires off a SPARKING stun shot at an approachingloshka. While ice BLASTS from the other hand create aslicked patch of ice.

JUMP TO Kincaid and Tamblin who roughly tumble about on thefloor as each struggles to lay the other out with a welltimed punch.

Kincaids solid right cross connects with Tamblins face.

Dazing him.

BACK ON Selene who fires the stun pistol at Stebbins, heDIVES but the SPARKING hits his leg.

He drops to the floor behind another ancient statue. Asteely eyed woman gripping an axe that curiously looksidentical to the Axe of Valla.

Stebbins attempts to rise but his leg is limp, stunned,useless. He sighs staying down, out of sight for themoment.

Lazenbys head SNAPS back as Tazul SOCKS her across thejaw. She sinks to the ground out cold just as Hale CRACKSTazul across the back.

She stumbles forward from the blow. Hale moving in for theattack.

SWITCH FOCUS to a victorious Kincaid that rushes over tothe Axe. His hands touch the axe about to pick it up...

He JERKS and straightens before painfully stumbling back.His hands go to his back coming up slicked RED.

JUMP TO Trovenus as he powerfully CRACKS Fuller across theface sending him to the ground.

Selene HITS Fisher with a SPARKING blast that stuns him.

Just as Tazul SLAMS her head into Hales, dazing him thoughhe remains on his swaying feet.

TAZUL(off him)

I fought Raloth. Did you honestly

think youd win?

With that, she sweeps his legs crashing out from under him.His head SMACKING against the floor. Finally out for thecount.

THWACK! A slim silver pistol SLAMS into the back ofKincaids head. He crumples to reveal Tamblin.

He pulls the axe finally free. The expression on his faceecstatic.

With a wicked grin, he eyes the out cold Kincaid.

TAMBLIN (CONTD)Youre right. This is far more

fun.

SWITCH FOCUS as Selene BLURS over to a groaning Kincaid.She swings his arm over her shoulder before darting off.Getting him out of the danger zone.

Tamblin aims another dangerously CRACKLING stream of bluelightning Tazuls way.

She again nimbly weaves to dodge its path but the icefloor beneath her feet DISSOLVES. Melting into water.

She stumbles.

Tazul shouts out in pain as the tip of the lightning wildlyCOURSES across her stomach. SINGING her shirt.

SIZZZ! Tamblins focus is diverted as the sykar hurtlesquickly through the air toward his hand gripping the axe.

The sykar ICES up, slowing dramatically as Tamblin easilyplucks it from the air.

REVERSE ANGLE shows Trovenus stealthily sneaking up behindTamblin. His focus on the axe.

Tamblin spins impossibly fast, effortlessly sweepingTrovenus legs out from under him with the axes longhandle.

TAMBLIN (CONTD)Amateurs.

SWITCH FOCUS to Alexandra who tends to a barely consciousKincaid with the practised ease of someone who knows whattheyre doing.

Uvere tears strips from Kincaids bloodied coat. Aconcerned Selene watches them work.

ALEXANDRA(to Selene)

Ill need one of your daggers.

Selene immediately hands it over. Alexandra slits Kincaidsshirt revealing a bloody entry wound.

Hes losing blood rapidly.

ALEXANDRA

Separating him from the axe willhave no effect now hes infusedwith its essence. Get him toaccess the Axes powers evenmore.

JUMP TO Alexandra and Uvere tending to Kincaid. Alexandrasfingers bloody as she finally removes the dwalt bullet fromthe wound. Uvere now presses the improvised strips there.

She rolls up her sleeve, biting her wrist. Blood drips asshe places it to Kincaids mouth.

BACK ON Tamblin as he unleashes his newfound powers withgleeful abandon.

Crackling clouds of lightning ERUPT from his palms as

glacial winds BUFFET everything and everyone.

Selene pauses once more, distinct.

SELENEThats the best youve got?

She BLURS about to ZIP off when a wall of ice JUTS upwardsfrom beneath her feet, throwing her off balance.

Selene scrambles to her feet as -

Tamblin throws up his hands, hitting her full force withthe fierce glacial winds that now buffet her, Tazul andTrovenus nearby.

They struggle to stay firmly where they are in the galeforce winds.

With a CLUNK, Tamblin finally drops the axe and rolls hisshoulders.

A crackling cloud of furiously swirling vapour GROWSexponentially between his palms. Increasing rapidly in sizethat it even obscures his face and shoulders.

He GASPS in pain, the crackling vapour dissipating in aninstant.

TAMBLIN (CONTD)Whats happen-

He screams in agony as his body turns to ice. His boots,clothes, skin. Everything FREEZING with an audible snap andcrack.

Tamblin eyes the discarded axe with a newfound horror. Theentire axe suffused and glowing with an eerie blue glow.

He attempts to move, to flee but his body is quiteliterally now frozen to the spot. Tamblin stops mid fearfilled scream as the ice CONSUMES him whole. His facefrozen in a distorted grimace of agony and fear.

The eerie glow suffusing the axe extinguishes instantly.

The ice statue that is now Tamblin SHATTERS. Ice shardsclattering harmlessly on the temple floor.

Tazul is immediately at Trovenus side. Pale flesh can beseen through the badly singed slashes on her coat. She eyesthe burnt slashes on Trovenus clothing.

TAZULAny serious injuries?

TROVENUSNone too life threatening.

Selene BLURS over to where Alexandra and Uvere sit with astill prone Kincaid.

UVERE(shakes his head)

He didnt make it.

Selene disbelievingly crouches to inspect Kincaid for herherself. Alexandra places a hand gently on her shoulder.

ALEXANDRA(softly)

Johns gone. We did everything wecould...

Tazul and Trovenus catch up with the huddled group.

INT. TEMPLE OF VALLA - BAPTISMAL CHAMBER - DAY

Trovenus and Uvere carefully carry Kincaid into an allwhite room.

An ancient baptismal font is in the center of the room. Six

white astata embellish the gold rimmed basin. A ceruleanliquid, thick and viscous flows here. This is the FONT OFELYSIUM.

Tazul, Alexandra and Selene stand near the font watching asthe two men carry Kincaid over to the basin.

ALEXANDRAPlace him in gently.

They slowly place him in, his body bobbing on the surface.

TAZUL(glances around)

What is this place? Ive neverseen it before.

SELENE(wary)

More importantly. What are youdoing to him here?

ALEXANDRAOnly the royal family knows ofthis place. Valla insisted this

place be off limits.

ALEXANDRA (CONTD)If the elysium accepts him hellbe revived. Reborn as the newguardian of the temple.

He looks around the room in wonder.

KINCAID(impressed)

Kincaids gaze finally meets Selenes, his attentionunwavering, until she looks away.

TROVENUSI believe we have some artifactsthat need to be returned to theirproper places.

TAZULRight.

UVEREDont forget all the stunnedtreasure hunters. Theyll becoming to soon.

ALEXANDRA(to Uvere)

Kincaid watches the departing group with an amused smileplaying on his lips.

KINCAIDI knew there was a heart beneaththat surly, violent exterior.
