SECURITYUnfortunately, two homes, one on Norwood Oaks and the other on
Moss Point Ct., were broken into, both by forced entry through the back door. A home on Macrantha Ct. reported identity theft. A mailbox on Macrantha was damaged. No petty vandalism—egg throwing, broken windows, etc.—was reported. In the last 39 days, the Constables drove 1,789 miles on patrol and issued 93 tickets. Even though crime does happen in our neighborhood, with your watchful eyes and back-up from the Constables, we can keep incidents at the current low rate.
ACTION ITEMSWe have accepted a contract for electricity at the rate of $.0597 for
the next 4 years from Champion through Kilowatt Partners. We are so sorry that the pool slide is again un-usable because of cracks in the plastic. The Board voted to not repair this slide but to investigate purchasing a new slide for use next season.
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW AND DEED RESTRICTIONS
Applications have been made for a storage shed, a storm door, and fence staining. Thank you to all who responded to the deed restriction letters reminding homeowners to mow, trim, paint, remove mold/
mildew—just generally maintain our homes. Sometimes the letters arrive a day before you were planning to tackle the outside jobs. Thank you for interpreting this letter as a reminder to help maintain the beauty of our neighborhood.
FINANCIALThe finances of TNW were audited. If anyone wishes to see our
financial statement—which is also presented at our annual meeting—please contact any Board Member.
GATE CODEThe gate code for our park was changed in July. Sign in to our website
for the new gate code.FOURTH OF JULY
Thank you to all who participated in the 4th of July Parade, especially to Gary and Sharon Dixon who paraded in their 1938 beautiful red Chevrolet. About 100 people gathered at the park for hot dogs, ice pops, face painting, and games which included Put the Beard on Uncle Sam (with whipped cream) and a lively water balloon battle. Thanks to Steve and Sharon Natenberg and MaryBeth Kreml for organizing. Thanks to our local Klein Fire Department for sending a truck to lead our parade.
