As stated in the letter mailed to all homeowners, Preferred "will work closely with each of you in an effort to build a family environment and to assist in keeping your property values high."

SECURITYOur Constables report NO burglaries of homes, NO vehicle

vandalizing or theft, NO criminal mischief, NO assaults! There were two citations given for trespassing. 1849 miles were driven over 40 days and 90 traffic tickets issued. This report is a testament to our safe neighborhood, but that doesn't mean we can let our guard down. The Constables encourage you to report anything suspicious. Keep your house locked and your cars locked with no visible equipment inside. Keep your cars off the street. School has started. Are you driving the speed limit?

ACTION ITEMSStumps will be ground and trees trimmed in the park. The lights

in the park are being repaired by an electrical company. We have started the gathering of information for a new pool slide. We hope you had a good summer enjoying the pool, and we thank Diane Moynihan for handling pool issues. Thank you to D.L. Miller Landscaping for planting the ligustrum hedge along T.C. Jester.

Thank you to good neighbors Arthur Oden and Bob Boyce for replacing our storm drainage decals. As the men get their aerobic exercise, they are also reminding us to not dump anything down our street drains as this water goes all the way to Galveston Bay.

Harris County is expanding bus routes. The newest expansion will direct a bus north on 249 and service the area around 249 and Louetta. They do not plan to run a bus east on Louetta at this time. An informal committee has been formed that will try to keep an eye on these new developments that affect our community. If you want any more information on this committee, contact any Board member. is open to all Harris County residents that live in the un-incorporated areas. JACK AND JILL OF AMERICA SPONSORS HARLEM NIGHTS DANCE ON OCTOBER 4

The Awesome, Amazing, Associates of the Jack and Jill of America, Inc., North Houston Suburban Chapter will hold a “Harlem Nights” Dance on Saturday, October 4, 2014. The dance will be held from 9 pm to 1 am at Le Jardin Events, 17103 Bamwood Rd., Houston.
