Principal’s Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thanks to everyone for their warm welcome and well wishes. It has been a great start to the
term.
The drop off and pick up procedures will continue, with parents being requested not to enter
school grounds at these times. Students are to be collected by parents by 3.30pm. Students
travelling by bus remain until arrival of buses. Thank you to families for your ongoing support.

Social Enterprise Project
Beginning Wednesday Week 3, Yr 6 students will travel to Alstonville High School to take part
in a Social Enterprise Project with Alstonville Public School and Alstonville High School
students. This will continue each Wednesday in Term 3 and Term 4. Transport will need to be
provided by families for this. A separate note will come home with further details.
Kindergarten Enrolments 2021
We are now taking Kindergarten enrolments for 2021. Please contact the office if you have
children or know of families with children wishing to attend Rous School in 2021. An
information evening will be held in Term 3. Further information will be provided when
restrictions ease.
Science Holiday Projects
A big congratulations to the students in both the 1/2 and 4/5/6 classes. It was wonderful to
hear so many students in the 4/5/6 class have planted their seeds with very successful results.
I enjoyed hearing about all the wonderful upcycling projects in the 1/2 class and look forward
to seeing the photos. Who knew you could do so many wonderful things with cardboard boxes.
Mrs Lord.
