The school has a curriculum continuity plan in place toactivate Home-Based Learning (HBL) to ensure thatlearning continues for students during school closure.
• HBL follows the syllabus and Schemes of Work (SOW) closelyso that we avoid any loss in curriculum time
• HBL is holistic in nature. For example, time is set aside for PEso that students continue to stay healthy
• It keeps students engaged in learning when they are unableto attend schools
• It gives students the opportunity to engage in self-directedlearning

With the end of the Circuit Breaker (CB) period on 1 June 2020, we enter thephase of safe opening. The Ministry of Education (MOE) will progressively bringstudents back to schools and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) from 2 June2020, in a careful and safe manner.

HBL needs not be confined to e-learning or learning withcomputers. It can include offline assignments or readings(e.g. readings from textbooks, PDF worksheets)
Teachers will continue to monitor students’ learningprogress during HBL
Besides helping students with learning, teachers will alsocheck on students’ well-being

Term 3 HBL Environment & Learning Process
Information of HBL will be broadcasted on the PHS Website. Studentsare to check their HBL weekly Timetables and plan their learning forthe day
During HBL, students are to follow the normal school day hours from7.30 a.m. to 2.50 p.m. (except on Fridays, 7.30 a.m. – 12.45 p.m.).This structure sets a common timeframe when teachers and studentscan discuss work online if needed
During HBL, Form Teachers will host a video conference via GoogleMeet with their class from 7.35 a.m. to 7.55 a.m. daily
Assignments to be completed by 4.00 p.m. for the day unlessotherwise stated by the subject teachers
