Term 2, Week 6 –6th June 2019
Principal Award-Term 2, Week 4
Ruby-Rose is a delightful, enthusiastic student who has a
seemingly unending thirst for learning. She applies herself to all
new learning opportunities with optimism and perseverance.
Ruby-Rose always treats others with respect, compassion and
works kindly in a leadership role among her peers. She is a
highly-valued member of our school community and is always
polite and never shy to stop and have a conversation with all
members of our school. Ruby-Rose is active in the broader
school community and always willing to lend a hand in the
garden.
Congratulations on achieving Garden Suburb Public School’s
Principal award, you are a very worthy recipient.
Congratulations Congratulations to our students who represented the school at the Regional Cross Country
Carnival last Friday. All students who represented the school put in an outstanding amount

Yarning Circle The Yarning Circle is continuing to develop and we are really excited to be able to turf this
area in the next few weeks. Yarning Circles have been used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander’s for thousands of years and are a place to come to collaborate, build relationships
and learn about local culture. Our Yarning Circle will be used by all students in the school
as a place where students, staff and community can learn, take time out and can have a
yarn with a fellow student, peer or community member.
Thank you to Paul Wells who has spent a number of days levelling out our area in order for
the turf to be put down. Paul’s contribution is greatly appreciated as it has ensured that funds
that would have been spent levelling the area out can be spent elsewhere.
