Description:

This Project is to Design and Construct Billing Mart for British Telecom wireless Inc.

The objective is to achieve single point of reference to get the customer data from the variousdatabases. Distributed data residing in heterogeneous data sources is consolidated into the target

Teradata database. The project involved creating the data warehouse, analyzing the source data,

and then deciding on the appropriate extraction, transformation and loading strategy.

Subsequently, the data flow from the data source to the target tables were created along with therequired utilities.

Responsibilities:

• Extensively worked in data Extraction, Transformation and Loading from source to target

system using BTEQ, FastLoad and MultiLoad.

• Involved in writing scripts for loading data to target data warehouse for BTEQ, FastLoad

and MultiLoad.

• Created staging tables in NCR Teradata database using Teradata Administrator, Terada

SQL Assistant.

creation of a Data Warehouse for the Sales Reporting System. Data from Operational Source

System is extracted, transformed and loaded into data warehouse Using Informatica and Teradata.

The reports are being generated in Cognos EP 7 Series to study the Sales Analysis System.

Description:

Al-Zamil is one of the leading business groups in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Their operations range from manufacturing air-conditioners, food processing, plastics, and steelfabrication to travel services. The present data warehouse was planned for the air conditioners

manufacturing unit of Al-Zamil group.

The organization faced various problems related to the stocking, movement and

tracking of the spare parts used in the manufacture of the air-conditioners. The problem was dueto the sheer number of spare parts used by ZAC to build different brands of air-conditioners. The

data warehouse was planned to trace the items in the inventory, check the stocking and track the

movement of the different types of spare parts from the warehouse to different parts of the globe.

Different parameters were planned to track the movement. This helped the organization plan their 

stocking and thus reduce the lead-time for execution of orders. Different types of reports were

 planned.

Responsibilities:

• Identification of various Data Sources and Development Environment.

• Involved in Creation of Mappings using different Transformations.

• Most of the transformations were used like the Source qualifier, Aggregators,

Connected & unconnected lookups, Update Strategy, Filters & Sequence.

• Created Reusable Transformations and Mapplets and used them in Mappings.

• Involved in improving performance Tunings.

• Created and Monitored Batches and Sessions using Informatica PowerCenter 

Server.
