TENDER DOCUMENT FOR UTILITY PIPING AND FACILITY EXTENSION FOR 2 X 50 T FURNACE 1. HFO pipeline for F1 and F2 will be drawn from column 48 to the furnace area distance of approx. 350 meters, with return line. Pipeline will be 2” mild steel seamless suitable for 10 bar pressure, Considering Total HFO peak load for the furnaces will be 400 X 2 = 800 L/hr. This pipe will be insulated as per standard norm. 2. Compressed air pipeline for both ICM and F1,F2 will be drawn from outside the bay. Approximate 150 meter Pipeline to be laid and piping is of 2” mild steel seamless suitable for 10 bar pressure. BALCO has submitted ICM’s requirement as 310 NM^3/hr. Compressed air requirement for the two furnaces will be 150 Kg/hr = 188 NM^3/hr. per furnace. So total requirement is 686 NM^3/hr. at 5 Bar pressure at the equipment. VENDOR will provide one flow meter with totalizer and one air receiver for moisture removal and pressure stabilization for this line. The details of components of the Air Receiver System is as follows a. Refrigerated Air Dryer, Capacity- 1000 CFM- 1 No. b. Air Receiver Tank 5 Cubic Meter, Capacity- 5000 Ltr- 1 No. c. BALCO has submitted ICM’s requirement as 500,000 Kcal/hr. at peak consumption. Peak LPG requirement for the two furnaces will be 40,000Kcal/hr. per furnace. So the total peak consumption is 580,000 Kcal/hr. = 70 Kg/hr. peak demand. Average demand will be much less as the usage for furnace and ICM will be intermittent. LPG Bank will be placed between column 0 & -2 next to the chimney on the left side of Bay A-B. VENDOREL will provide necessary 1 ½” mild steel seamless piping and fittings and will complete the installation. As per IS 6044, VENDOREL will provide necessary DRY POWDER Fire Extinguisher and Water Sprinkler System required for the installation. 4. Water pipeline ( as per IS:3589) to be drawn from side of A-B Bay. There will be 8” x 750 meter pipe in pressure line with 28” x 250 meter as return line Through a Underground trench up to 2 degree of slope around 150Mtr Length Pipe will be of ERW mild steel pipe. 2 Nos of 14” oulet pipe from casting station and cooling tunnel with NRV valve should connect to the main return line. BALCO has submitted ICM’s requirement as 200 M^3/hr at 35 Degree C. The total cooling water requirement for EMS will be 12 M^3/hr and for the furnaces 2 X 5 = 10 m^3/hr. So total for the plant will be 222 m^3/hr. Line pressure will be 4 bar max. 5. Drinking water connection and one time filling for the EMS will be required. For this purpose 150 meter 2” ERW mild steel Piping will be provided with necessary fittings.

6. Nitrogen piping of 350 mtr length will be provided with 1.5“ Seamless pipe. Pressure 10 Kg/Sq.cm.

7. Incomer cable for the Furnace MCC, EMS MCC will be provided by VENDOREL. There will be 3.5 Core 120 sq. mm cable- 1200 meter length and 3.5 Core 240 Sq. meter cable-300 meter. 8. Incomer cable for the ICM MCC. There will be 3.5 Core 120 sq. mm cable- 600 meter lengths and all other auxiliary supply system up to The junction Box. 9. All the control rooms AC and smoke detector system and complete electrical wiring. 10. Earth Pit both electrical for MCC room and Electronic Earthling Pit to be made and connection provided. 11. Providing The Junction Boxes for welding machine and other auxiliary supply connection with 35 sq.mm 3.5 core power cable (200Mtrs) and 2.5sqmm 3 core control cables (200Mtrs) 12.
