Tabor Crew Classic Peanut Butter and Chocolate BarsOriginally from Ms. Chandler, shared over the years Courtesy of many TA crew families, most recently Jeannie
Gould and the McNamara’s, 2011
2 sticks butter1 16 oz jar of Skippy Smooth peanut butter 1 pound powdered sugar 1 cup crushed Graham Cracker1 12 oz pkg semi sweet choc chips*Peanut Oil … ‘as needed’ [perhaps up to ~ ¼ cup] Melt 1 stick butter and blend in peanut butter, powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Mix
well; it may be “crumbly” and if it is, add enough peanut oil* until the mixture is smooth. Then press into a 9x13 pan. Melt 1 stick of butter, stir in choc chips until smooth. Pour over peanut butter mixture and smooth out. Chill until firm before cutting into bars.
*George’s modification: add to the crumbly mix enough peanut oil until it’s smooth, ~1/4 cup

Tenbrook TwelveAnn Tenbrook lived at 192 Front Street for about 40 years. She was a friend of Tabor, a world traveler and a well respected leader in Marion. We are going to be meeting at her house. Thus, we are calling this group the Tenbrook Twelve. (Ms. Gardiner now lives there.)
