Dear TTBC Brothers and Sisters in Christ! This has been a year of change, growth and joy in the life of Tremont Temple Baptist Church! We remember the men and women of the past who sacrificed, worked and pra yed to make Tremont Temple an effective instrument for Christ and His Kingdom. We are grateful that God always has given TTBC the leadershi p that we have needed, just at the right time. Therefore, it is proper that we sing: O God, our Help in ages past, Our Hope for years to come, Our shelter from the stormy blast, And our eternal Home! Time, like an ever rolling stream, Bears all its sons and daughters away; They fly forgotten, as a dream dies at the op’ning day . I do not know if I believe that last stanza, “They fly f orgotten, as a dream…” In Jesus Christ, we are never forgotten but belong to that great and everlastin g kingdom of God’s saints. Let us thank God for those in our congregation who have t his year gone to be with the Lord! Thank God for their faithfulness and their love for Christ! Indeed, time does f ly and move us on. It is amazing to think that already another church year has passed since our last Annual Business Meeting. Now we are preparing for our next Annual Meeting, on Sunday, April 17 th . Make a d ate and please plan to be t here. This is the time when you get an opportunity to hear in summary form the great things that the Lord has been do ing through the various ministries of Tremont Temple. It is also the time when we elect leaders for the coming year. Following the Bylaw requirement to post the list of nominees made by the Deacons, on Sunday, April 3 rd , the nominees for TTBC leadership will be posted two weeks be fore our meeting. Pray for God’s blessings upon those nominated and upon o ur meeting! When you joined Tremont Temple, the Deacons shared with you our Covenant of Membership . It is a succinct statement, and a profound s tatement of faith: Today we affirm our faith in Jesus Christ whom we acknowledge as our personal Savior and to whom, as Lord, we are truly committed. We pledge to serve God according to the grace He gives to us and according to the measures of our abilities. We affirm the Word of God to be our rule of life and we  will seek at all times to translate its teaching into all of our relationships and responsibilities. will seek always to walk together in brotherly love, ever willing to bear one another’s burdens and

fulfill the law of Christ.

We will maintain fellowship together as members of the body of Christ, not forsaking the assem-

bling of ourselves for worship and for the observance of the Lord’s Supper. We will faithfully support, by our prayers and personal participation, by our tithes and offerings,

the ministries of this church, its Bible School, its home and foreign missionary programs. Moreover,

by our personal witness and by that quality of life which emanates from the indwelling Holy Spirit,

we will seek to win others to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

At the end of the school year, students are given a test to see how they have measured up to their course work. As we approach our Annual Meeting, it would be a good exercise for every member to test

themselves on the Covenant of Membership and to see how they have measured up to the commitmentthey made when they joined Tremont Temple. Is Jesus Christ our personal Savior? Are we truly

committed to Him? Do we read the Bible daily? Is it evident in our relationship with one another at

TTBC? Do we pray for our fellow members? Do we walk together in love? Do we bear one another’sburdens? Do we attend worship services regularly? Do we participate in all the activities of the churchfor spiritual growth? Do we tithe and support the church by our offerings? Are we personal witnesses

and seeking to bring others to Christ?Such questions are indeed valid exam questions and a preparation for that day when we meet our

Master! May God give each of us grace so to live, so to pray, so to act, and so to witness! We are very grateful for the unity and reconciliation that we have experienced this year. We thank God

for our new members, and for those who have been baptized. Keep on praying and keep on working for Christ and His Kingdom! Pray that our Annual Business Meeting will be another experience of unity,

peace and reconciliation in Christ!

Yours faithfully in Christ,

Denton Lotz, Pastor

Women’s Ministry

The Church Council approved a suggestion from the Women’s Roundtable that each Communion

Sunday (first Sunday), TTBC members are encouraged to bring in canned foods, pasta, rice, etc. for

the food pantries in our area.

“Share Your Food”  begins on Sunday, April 3rd, and is a good way to begin celebrating the Lord’s Supper.

Janice Lotz, Women’s Coordinator

Greetings Tremont Temple Family!

The Gospel Choir will be giving an Easter Gospel Concert at the church on Friday evening, April 15th at

7:00pm. It will be an exciting time of hearing gospel music, narration, a little congregational hymn singing as well as

fellowship. Please come, bring a friend, and share in the good news that Jesus Christ has come to save the lost! I hope tosee you there.

Many blessings,

Geoff Hicks
