Lei è Monelle Chiti, una delle fotografe più conosciute nell'ambiente musicale - soprattutto in quello milanese.

Le abbiamo chiesto di rispondere ad alcune nostre domande sulle fotocamere:

“Parliamo di concerti... quali caratteristiche deve avere una fotocamera per dare grandi risultati”?

Ci sono varie caratteristiche importanti, ma sicuramente dipende anche dalla location del concerto e dalle luci che illuminano il palco.

Se una condizione live è buia c'è poco da fare, la cosa più semplice sarebbe usare il flash.

Io consiglio di usarlo il meno possibile e giocare sui tempi di esposizione, utilizzare gli ISO giusti è importante.

In una situazione concertistica meglio tenerli in una fascia che va dagli 800 ai 1600”.

Poi dipende anche dalla vicinanza in cui si scatta e cercare di usare tempi brevi (tipo 1/50). Ma soprattutto quello che conta sono le ottiche.

“E se potessi scegliere tra quelle che hai usato, quali sono le tue ottiche preferite?”

Il 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM mi ha dato delle grandi soddisfazioni perchè può fare sia dei primi piani che dei bei totali; certo, non è luminosissimo, ma facendo un pò di esperienza anche con in condizioni di scarsa luminosità possono venire fuori dei bei risultati.

Di questo obiettivo, ad essere sincera, mi piace il fatto che, anche in situazioni di concerti live come fotografo io, basta soltanto questo e non devi portartene dietro minimo diversi.

Cogliere l'attimo è importante. Anzi, è la cosa più importante per chi fa questo lavoro e tante volte capita che sei lì a cambiare obiettivo e magari succede qualcosa che avresti voluto immortalare (è successo a tutti almeno una volta).

Un altro obiettivo che adoro è il 50mm f/1.4 USM: luminosissimo e fa degli sfuocati meravigliosi. Una foto fatta con un 50mm si riconosce subito se è ben fatta. Su tutti direi questi due, anche se mi piace usare il 16-35mm, ma per usarlo servono delle situazioni particolari.

Another optical I love is the 50mm F/1.4 USM: very bright and makes wonderful blurry. A picture made with a 50mm is recognised immediately if it’s well made. About all I would say these two, even if I like to use the 16-35mm, but to use it you need special situations.
