A fixed price model is an ideal pricing mechanism for projects with a clear scope, established project management methodologies, and a stable set of requirements. At Amtex Systems, we use various estimation methodologies, to derive effort estimation for the project.

Time and Material Based ModelThis is the right model for a project with ever evolving scope or for projects which are having smaller scopes but are part of bigger applications. Here we work in collaboration with the clients for end to end project execution while costing is derived on hourly basis.

Within this option, a team of dedicated resources are assigned for fixed contract period of time. These teams would act as an extended IT arm of your IT teams or department. TNT – EDG Italy Client : TNT, UKEnvironment : iSM 6.0.1, BAM/TPM, Web FOCUS, Oracle Database, WebSphere MQ

Description:

iWay has proposed technical solution for the TNT Electronic Data Gateway (EDG) Project to expand on their platform and make use of a range of iSM facilities that enable greater trading partner management, EDI message transformation, additional partner transport protocol (e.g. AS2, HTTPS, etc.,).

Members of the Offshore QA team worked in TNT, UK and in Chennai for Application Testing and TPM / BAM Testing along with on-site solution team.

Testing Cycles

Based on the EDG – ITALY Specification Document , tested all the Positive and Negative Scenarios. Unit test, Sanity Test and Full Functionality Test done on the EDG – ITALY Application Level (For all the Formats NFF, EDISTD, EDISTDUE and MyTNTit). Channel Configuration and Database setup for EDG – Italy in TNT Linux Machines (Sandbox, Devbox, Testbox, UAT and OAT box). Based on Specification Document Prepared Test Plan and Test Cases. Performance testing was carried out.

Sabre – Audit Solution Client : Sabre, UKEnvironment : iSM 6.0.1, Data Profiler, DQC

Description:

Sabre populates the ADI data solution with more than 7 million rows of passenger information every month from a wide variety of sources, including various booking and ticketed data sources, government entities, the IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP), TCN and other sources.The Audit Solution was initiated by the Sabre because detecting and manually correcting discrepancies in the data extracts is major business challenges, since this information is a key data asset they sell to customers. The solution will pick up data from the database and clean the data and put it back on the production server. The products mainly used were Data Profiler and DQC. Each Audit was made into DQC plans. We were able to achieve 99% data cleansing for them.

Created Test Plan, Test Cases based on the requirements.Analyzed and validated the performance of loading data in multiple Excel Sheets.Created a real-time environment like setup and implemented the software to show demo to client.

Agency Incentive Management for Air Canada

Client : Air Canada, Canada.Environment : WebFOCUS 7.6.10 , iWay DataMigrator 7.6.9, MVC 2, Struts 1.2, AJAX, Hibernate. Description:

Canada's largest full-service airline and the largest provider of scheduled passenger services. This Project has 2 phases – transformation of Historical and Current Data from MF and other sources to Teradata. Has 3 sub projects for ETL – Migrate data from MF to Teradata, WebFOCUS – created BI reports; and Java – created user friendly interfaces for rules to be created/updated/deleted. Developed as an Excel Exit Strategy – previously various rules were created in excel and mapping them with future plans - to measure and compensate travel agencies who are working with an Air Canada Agency Sales incentive contract. Commission they are paid is based on a complex set of rules that are related to specific plans. The process to adjust the rules was very time-consuming and manual.
