Tech Update 01/14/2014

Apple• What we’re up against: 500ish iPads, 350 + Apple IDs,

regular updates to operating systems & apps, 1 Tech

• News from the front: Apple has developed a more robust & affordable way to deploy/update iPads and apps. requires Macbook + Configurator + Human at each campus

• Bad news: Current Apple IDs will expire at the end of the year. Apps will be kept but not updated.

• Good news: Future apps will be retained by district, and purchasing/updating can happen on-campus, weekly

Your Take Away:

• Consider:

• Who should update your iPads? (Lab tech? Librarian? Teacher + stipend)

• Where can cart be kept?

• Watch for updates from Tech as we get more information/training opportunities from Apple.
