Pre-Requisites

Must be a Microsoft CSP Reseller Authorized IBM Cloud Pak for Data Reseller Azure Subscription (New or Existing) IBM Cloud Pak for Data Registry API Key:

Please Note:Before installing IBM Cloud Pak for Data, the Microsoft Azure account you use must have a dedicated public hosted DNS zone in your account. This zone must be authoritative for the domain. This service, provides cluster DNS resolution and name lookup for external connections to the cluster.

To do this you will need to log into Portal.azure.com with the password provided in the confirmation email you will be sent to you. Once logged in, please create a new password. You will need to remember this password to log into Azure to verify the deployment in a later step.

Once you have completed this step you may continue to Slide 12 for next steps, including configuring and deploying the solution. For additional instructions refer to our detailed Step by Step guide.

Setting up DNS

Option 1: Obtain a new Domain through Azure

You can obtain a new Domain through Azure.

Connect to your Azure Portal and click on the search bar:

Search for an App Service Domain

Click on add

Search for an available Domain

Create New Resource Group

Fill in Contact information Click Create

Option 2: Transfer an existing Domain

If you plan to transfer an existing domain, you will first need to create an Azure

DNS Zone and then transfer the ownership of your domain to the Azure DNS Zone.

Search for DNS Zones:

Click on Add

Create a new Resource Group

Use your domain as the name of your DNS Zone

Review and Create

Access Reseller Portal by clicking on the link or from the Home Page

Please Note:Once the order has been placed for the Click to Run Solution. The installation package will be added to the Partners Digital Locker within a few minutes. Partners access the Digital Locker from the Reseller Portal.

The Click to Run Solution must be configured from the Digital Locker.

The Reseller Portal can also be accessed from the StreamOne Home page s displayed below.

Accessing the Digital Locker

From the Reseller Portal, locate and click on the Digital Locker Tile as displayed

here.

Locate the Customer

Once clicking on the Digital Locker you will need to find the End Customer. This should match the customer information from the

order confirmation screen. Search by email address to locate

IaaS / PaaS

Once you have found and selected the customer by clicking on the company name you will be brought to this screen.

This will bring up the User Interface (UI) to customize and deploy the IBM Cloud Pak for Data into Azure

Please Note

Up to this point the only the Azure Subscription has been created. This will be indicated in Green next to the Status

of Subscription. No resources have been deployed into Microsoft Azure.

Customize and Deploy

You will see the User Interface (UI) pop up once you select the Click to Configure button on the previous screen.

Here you will be presented with various options to customize, select Azure Region, select the Cloud Pak Data Profiles of your choice, and will be asked to input your Red

Hat & IBM Cloud Pak Licenses.

Once complete Click the Deploy Now Button

This will initiate the deployment which should be complete in approximately 3- 4 hours.
