Krissy gets ready to go up as well. Preparing herself in the best way she knows how. By smiling about it.

Getting ready to land a lot more gracefully than most of us did.

Tasks
This particular task involved making long slides out of plastic guttering and sending down an egg, the group whose egg didn’t break won the task.
![Page 7: Team seven residential](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022032419/55a3827b1a28ab64778b468a/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
This task had the whole team tied to a ring, supporting a ball, the aim of the task was to get the ball across the woods, going under and over
obstacles without dropping it.

Crate Stacking
Brendon and Benny on the crate stack whilst Krissy and Sarah assist them.
The challenge was to get as high as you could without falling off or knocking the tower of crates over.

Archery
Actually trickier than it looks but a lot of fun!
After a while of just aiming for the centre of the targets
we then had to try and shoot and burst balloons
with our arrows.

Free TimeIn the mornings, in between tasks and challenges and in the evenings we had a fair amount of time to just do what we wanted to; which was usually exploring, relaxing and general chatter.
Here’s a rather sneakily taken photo of me and Nigel just hanging out.
Word of advice to any future male participants of the team programme: BRING SHAVING EQIPMENT! I looked like a caveman by the time I got home.

Domestic Tasks
During residential we formed small groups to take on tasks such as cooking, cleaning and setting the tables for meal times.
Here are Brendon Benny and Sarah preparing some Chinese style chicken.

First Aid
Though a few of us already has first aid knowledge, we did some first aid training.
This involved learning CPR, applying bandages and sterilizing wounds.
![Page 14: Team seven residential](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022032419/55a3827b1a28ab64778b468a/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Wooden Structures
Using the knowledge we had gained about knot tying, we were to make a wooden structure that would support all of our weight using only wood and rope. It worked but it was rather wobbly.
![Page 15: Team seven residential](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022032419/55a3827b1a28ab64778b468a/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
We then had to build two smaller structures, tie them to each other with rope and cross from one to the other.
The structures weren’t as stable as we would have liked but we managed.

Fire! What better way to spend your last night in the forest than
sat around a fire?A fire started using steel and flint may I add.
