Residential Sector – Strategy to Handover
Watson Batty Architects have over 10 years experience of working in the Residential sector. The residential sector accounts for nearly 25% of our current work load and has been a steadily growing sector over the last few years.
We have completed projects from minor refurbishment and extensions to major new build schemes and multi million pound estate master plans.
Public Consultation and resident engagement proves particularly effective in helping to ensure that the process of procuring project is much smoother as potential community issues have been addressed at an early stage.
Our Regeneration projects include Beeston Hill - Leeds, Deighton & Brackenhall - Huddersfield, Bank Top – Blackburn, Thurnscoe, New Lodge & Athersley - Barnsley, and North Bransholme – Hull.

Community Consultation
Our expertise in the sensitive area of community consultation helps us to achieve collaborative solutions that will help promote a harmonious community spirit and avoid social exclusion. As part of our approach, we generally hold regular meetings with the community and local stakeholders, and produce interim reports to feedback on progress.
Visioning days to explore projects, community planning days and workshops, and ‘walking the area’ to pinpoint problems and highlight opportunities are other essential tools that we use tobuild up the appropriate local strategy.
Consultation proves particularly effective in helping to ensure that the process of procuring project is much smoother as potential community issues have been addressed at an early stage.
