All events are between one and four hours in duration.

INTERACTIVE WINE TASTING

Each game includes delicious cheese and meat platters to accompany the flavours of the vineyards. Participants must be over 18 years of age.

BATTLE OF THE ‘BUDS1.5 hours, minimum 10 participants

Two games. Six wines. Zero labels. Participants take part in two blind tastings and answer questions to identify wines. No prerequisite wine knowledge is required, just a logical mind and tuned-in taste buds!

Last one standingThis game begins with everyone standing, but by the end there will just be one. The first three wines are tasted blind, over three separate rounds. Answer each question correctly (paying attention to the clues) to stay in the round. The last person standing each round wins a prize.

Twisted 20Using knowledge acquired in the first game, teams take turns questioning the presenter in a race to guess the wine. Only yes or no questions may be asked. Get a ‘no’, and you’re back to the bottom of the queue. The team to first identify the wine’s region, year and type gets a prize.

THE BLEND MASTER2.5 hours, minimum 10 participants

Even wine connoisseurs may be surprised to discover nearly all wine is blended in one way or another. In this game, participants learn the basics of wine blending then compete in teams to create the tastiest drop. Which team will produce a wine worthy of the racks of your local fine wine cellar?

Progressive tastings of the blended product are performed, with a team prize awarded for the best wine of the evening. All equipment required to create the perfect blend is provided.

MAKE YOUR OWN PASTA2.5 hours, minimum 10 participants

A tasty team building event accompanied by a relaxed glass of wine. Participants form small teams to learn and master the art of pasta making. With guidance from our chefs, you’ll prepare an egg pasta dough, knead it and roll it to create your choice of ravioli, raviolo or tortellini.

While the pasta is cooking, enjoy shared entrées and (of course) more wine. The best bit? Eating your own fresh homemade pasta! Plenty of laughter make this a fulfilling end to a busy day.

Vegetarian and vegan options are available. (This is a knife free event).

THE ULTIMATE RED SPICE ROAD CHALLENGE3.25 - 3.5 hours, minimum 10 participants

Working in teams with knives! What could build a team faster?

In this event, teams work together to create a four course South East Asian meal inspired by Melbourne’s award-winning Red Spice Road restaurant. Participants learn how to combine and layer flavours to create mouthwatering dishes, while performing specific roles from back and front of house of the restaurant.

The resulting creations are served to rival teams, who will assist the chef in judging the winning meal. A prize goes to team who plate up the most delicious, well-presented dishes.(This event starts with a non alcoholic welcome drink for safety reasons!)

CAN YOU MAKE IT ACROSS THE AIRCRAFT HANGAR?1.5 - 2 hours, minimum 10 participants

A classic team building exercise that pits team against team to beat both the clock and other teams. Teams must organise themselves, plan ahead, share data, solve problems and work together effectively under pressure.

The challenge is to cross the aircraft hangar using oil drums and planks (scaled down to table-top), but alas, there are pitfalls along the way. The longer the route, the more the challenges - but the shorter the route, the more difficult the challenges. This game is great opportunity for a well-organised team to get ahead. Don’t be fooled however. Even chaotic beginnings can be overcome by teams who learn to pull together and solve problems efficiently.

A GRIPPING EXPEDITION, DEEP INTO THE DESERT 1.5 - 2 hours, minimum 10 participants

Can your team navigate a successful desert expedition? Participants learn to plan as a team, ask the right questions, select personnel and manage basic logistics.

Your mission is to travel to a location deep in the desert to collect a vitally important letter. The quest could mean the difference between life and death. You have a map, a vehicle to travel in and a coded message that will reveal the location – but little else. Good luck!

OPEN YOUR OWN WINE BAR 4 – 5 hours, minimum 10 participants

This is business decision making in a condensed and entertaining format. In teams, participants have the task of opening a new wine bar. From naming the bar to making sound financial decisions, this game requires effective planning, communication and strategising as a unit. Advertising and marketing are essential elements of success in this scenario. How will the team overcome problems when money is found to be missing from the till?

The team’s decisions are recorded on a simple form which is fed into a laptop and the financial results and messages printed. Teams feel they really are running their own wine bar!
