ONE DAY TEACHERS’ TRAINING WORKSHOP

FOR

KOTAK GROUP OF SCHOOLS, RAJKOT

Alvin Toffler once said “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

Appreciating this learning spirit, Learning and Development, Marwadi University conducted a one day teachers’ training workshop for the principals, senior teachers and newly joined teachers of Kotak Group of Schools, Rajkot.

The workshop commenced on 30th November 2016 at Learning Centre, Marwadi University.

There were 97 participants including the principals, senior teachers and the newly joined teachers of the Kotak Group of Schools.

The group of participants was welcomed at the auditorium by Mr. Naresh Jadeja, Registrar, Marwadi University.

The group was also addressed by Shri Navinbhai thaker, Trustee of Kotak Group of Schools.

Participants were divided in three different batches at three different venues

The Workshop

The workshop was divided broadly in two parts. First half was focused more on the various roles of a teacher and how to make learn with fun in the class room.

Participants were invited to brainstorm and present their ideas on making learn with fun and given various tools to redesign their class conduct.

The second half was focused on understanding the profile of learners and the theory of Multiple Intelligence, which sharpened the teaching edge of the teachers.

Participants were also given an opportunity to know each other well, working in teams through various exercises.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Rajendra K. Joshi, Mr. Dhananjay Singh, Mr. Nurali Chamadiya, Ms. Rachita Mehta, Ms. Krishna Thakker, Mr. Bhavin Joshi.

The participants were very happy with the training and campus and requested for such interventions in future also.
