Lots of players have coaching experience and for many, a move into teaching is the natural step. “A rugby career is so much more than just excelling on the pitch. It requires skills and disciplines such as teamwork, leadership, determination and performance under pressure, which are all excellent credentials for a career in teaching. “Sharing the corridors with such well-known names has been exciting for some of the other students, particularly those who are hoping for a career in sport themselves. Importantly, it has also emphasised the importance of school and college for life afterwards and will hopefully encourage young fans to stay in education.” Paul Daley - Winning our Teacher of the Year award, presented by Lisa Nandy MP, Paul now teaches full time at Warrington Collegiate. Full time PGCE student Debbie Henderson progressed from midwifery into teaching We are proud to deliver outstanding teaching and learning by highly qualified subject specialists from a broad range of backgrounds.
