The Most Reverend John Baptist Crozier

This Lord Primate of All Ireland and Lord Archbishop of Armagh was a most singular clergyman – as interested in the here-and-now

as in the hereafter.

He was fanatical about horses, cricket, rugby, golf and football, and enthusiastic about art, music and science. What’s more, it’s thought he may at times have pursued all of these interests indoors – here in this very building, which was then the Bishop’s Palace. Just imagine the sights that must have greeted

visiting parishioners.

And while you’re contemplating, why not enjoy something from our heavenly menu of earthly delights. We’re sure the Bishop would

give his blessing.
