Arlington TDM Has Sizeable Impacts and Is a Net Revenue Generator
• 41,000 SOV trips shifted off the roads to other modes each workday (1 freeway lane = 4,000 – 6,000 vehicles in peak period)
• 27,000 of these trips shifted to transit
• $26 million increased transit revenue/year
• 718,000 miles of travel reduced daily
• 31,000 gallons of fuel saved/day, 8.1 million/yr.
• 350 tons of emissions reduced/day
• $18 million private investment in transit benefits (2012 estimate - 680 employer clients)
