    Design Features

Journal Bearings of type SL have a clear axle or shaft end, type ZL has double-sided axle or shaft ends. Shafts and housing are available in current dimensions, special di-mensions upon request.

    Bearing design

The TEMCO journal bearings corre-spond in their design with a two-row deep-groove ball bearing. The internal raceways are machined into the shaft, and the external raceways into the housing. The sealing sytem is adjusted to the relevant application.

    Lubrication/Maintenance

Some journal designs are lubricated to cover service life, others can be relubricated. Choice of the design and of the lubricant are to be made in line with the relevant applica-tion case.

TEMCO is manufacturing journal bearings of types SL and ZL to cover an exten-sive field of application. Distinctive features of these units are their solid and ready-for-mounting design. Assembled and equipped with suitable sleeves, TEMCO jour-nal bearings can be used for instance and conveying, guiding and tension rollers.

    TEMCO Bearing Elements ML/HFD

< The TEMCO ML and HFD bearing assemblies giving especially smooth operation are designed for use in textile machinery engineering and in general machinery engineering in particular as high-speed bearing elements on high speed units.

    Designs

The ML/HFD Bearing assemblies are available in various designs as solid units ready for mounting. For special cases we manufacture these with chromium-platet shafts.

    Bearing designs

The raceway are integral with the shafts. A spacer bush between the external rings of the two shoulder ball bearings provides for the requested radial and axial play for the individual application.

ML Bearing assemblies are suitable for small and medium loads. For high loads we recommend the TEMCO roller pins of type RZ.

    Speeds

ML Bearings assemblies having grease lubrication can be operated with speeds up to 80,000 r.p.m., the HFD up to 120,000 r.p.m.

    Lubrication

The TEMCO bearings have life lubrica-tion, and can be provided with different lu-bricants to suite to individual requirements.

    Sealing

The bearing assemblies have on either side a special dust protection cover. Bsearing assemblies for texturing spindles are addi-tionally equipped with a thread lap guard.

    TEMCO Roller Pins RZ

TEMCO Roller pins offer versatile use as bearing elements, for instance on tex-turing units, belt tension pulleys, and guide rollers on textile machines. Additionally they can be used in general machinery engineering. In their external shape the roller pins can be modified to meet individual mounting conditions.

    >

    Designs

TEMCO Roller pins are available in vari-ous shaft dimensions and housing designs.

    Bearing constructions

Roller pins are suitable in particular for high loads. In the area of the highest loads they are provided with a cylindrical roller bearing instead of a deep groove ball bearing.

The running tracks for the ball range and the roller range are ground into the shaft. The corresponding external rings are press-fitted into the housing.

    Speeds

Speeds of up to 20.000 r.p.m. are at-tainable, and in individual cases even more.

    Lubrication/Maintenance

The roller pins are lubricated to cover service life. The designs with grease cap can be relubricated.

    TEMCO Tension Pulleys SPR

Tension pulleys are used for conveying, guiding and tensioning belts and tapes in textile machinery engineering or in general machinery engineering. The dimensions of the tension pulleys can be modified to meet the existing mounting conditions.

    >

    Designs

Tension pulleys are designed to respond to individual requirements. The sleeve is available in various materials for instance: steel, plastic material, or aluminium. Sleeves of plastic material have a smaller rotating mass. For special requirements we also sup-ply coated sleeves. The running surfaces either cylindrical or spheric offer a high pre-cision in true running.

    Bearing constructions

Tension pulleys have roller pins RZ or journal bearings SL/ZL as bearing ele-ments. Designs with rotating shaft have lower power requirements compared with designs of rotating external ring.

    Speeds

The speeds correspond to the actual speeds.

    Load capacity

The tension pulleys are designed accord-ing to the required belt contact pressure.

    Lubrication/Maintenance

The basic bearing assemblies of roller pins RZ or journal bearings SL/ZL are life-lubricated. Some tension pulley types can be relubricated.
