Crystal Alicia Campbell Task 9 1. The title of the magazine which I will be designing will be called ‘’Empress Magazine” 2. Explanation of choice genre The reason why I have chosen the genre that I have is because it relates to my background and I’ve been to a lot of places where they will be playing Caribbean music and they will not completely understand it but because of the energetic beat, which it gives off they feel as though all Caribbean music is of the same quality. However there are various different beats which goes with various different songs that represent moods. 3. Target audience My target audience will be both male and female participants whom may look or give off her vibe that they do listen to a range of music and are not just into one type of genre such as rock or punk music. The age range which I am looking into is between the ages of 12-25 mostly anything above that is a different sort of music because some older people like to listen to old school reggae music such as Eka-mouse which is an artist a lot of young people are not aware of. People are generally interested in these types of Caribbean music because it can sometimes be seen as a trend and it also gives of a laid back attitude to Caribbean people which are not often the impression people get from people of Caribbean background. The target audience in this case is designed to achieve the best results. 4. 5. 6. 7. The initial details about my photographs

4.5.6.7. The initial details about my photographsThe initial details about my photographs is that, in my final pictures I would like to see the use of colourful costumes which are intended to reflect the culture of music and to also promote what the colours may stand for, for the individual e.g. if the singer is Rastafarian the colours that he may wear symbolises his believes.

As stated previous a singers clothing can represent who they are individually, take the likes of the late legend who is Bob Marley, +++whom has always emphasized how much of a soulful man he is, he is always seen in his Rastafarian colours whereas chronixx may not always dress like a Rastafarian but their a subtle hints to show that he is a Rastafarian such as the jeans jacket he is wearing has a symbol which represents his believes, he may not show who he is through the expression of vibrant colours, however he does show it in his own expressive way. Another thing to look at when comparing these two is that Bob Marley has always got an instrument playing whilst he is performing either Solo or accompanied by the Wailers, whereas Chronixx is not accompanied by anyone and he does not play an instrument, he uses the sincerity in his voice in order to show how much he can affect people of all ages with his music such Smile Jamaica ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=vofff0Ei3kk ) compared to Bob Marleys (www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-5yg7C5o4Q ).
