Student Learning Meetings
Student Learning Meetings are being held over the next 2 weeks for all
classes (except 4/5S Mrs Northam’s class). This is an opportunity for
you and your child to have a chat about them and their learning. In the
learning meeting, you can speak about your child’s strengths, areas
that could be worked on, interests, likes, dislikes, any medical
information, family information or anything else you think is important.
It is anticipated that each meeting will go for 15 minutes. If you would
like to see your child’s teacher before this time please contact the
school office. Booking information has been sent home last week.
Please contact the office if you need assistance with the booking
process.
Headlice
There is always an influx of headlice at the commencement of a school
term, following a holiday period, so parents are asked to please check
your child’s hair for headlice. Treatment is available from the chemist
or supermarket. Following treatment the best management practice is
to use cheap white conditioner on dry hair and comb it through every
day for a fortnight.
Sport Days
The school sport days are as follows
Kindergarten, K/1 and 1G – Friday
Other Year 1 & 2 classes – Wednesday
Year 3/4 classes – Thursday
Year 4/5 class and 5/6 classes – Friday
P&C Meeting
The first P&C meeting for 2020 will be held on Wednesday 19 February
at 6:00pm in the school library. All are welcome to attend.

How You Can Create a Healthy Lunch Box
Cancer Council NSW is keen to promote awareness about healthy
eating and has therefore produced its Healthy Lunch Box website
healthylunchbox.com.au
Summer is here so keeping some foods cold is very important. The
key to achieving this and the necessity to follow hygienic food
preparation methods can be found on the website.
Get your kids involved in the planning and preparation of their lunches.
This can be a good way to ensure a yummy summer lunch box will be
on its way to school.
Keeping your kids sun safe is also most important so don’t forget to
remind them to slip on clothing; slop on broad-spectrum sunscreen,
slap on a broad-brimmed hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses.
